Don't stand up in a canoe.

Make sure the batteries in your smoke/CO detector are working.

Worried that your teeth will be stained after a heavy night drinking red wine? Drink a bottle of white wine before going to bed, to remove the stains.

If a partially deaf person can't hear you speak deeper, not louder.

They say each cigarette takes 6 minutes off your life.
If you smoke 10 a day just get up an hour earlier each morning and hey presto you get your 'lost' 60 minutes back.

Having spent lots of time in both the Arctic Circle and the Arabian Peninsula, I disagree.

As do I. We were taught it the other way in the military - namely you can always get yourself warm, but you can't always cool yourself down.

I read that and realized I have no clue which way I tie mine.

Indeed - Our Army saying - 'There's no such thing as bad weather, just the wrong clothes'.

Only place I've ever been where that doesn't work is here in Dubai, during the summer and it's hitting 50C. You simply can't cool down regardless.

All fair points.
I however live (and sail) in the UK. General rule is change clothing early as its quick and easy to cool down, but it can be hard to warm up if you get cold. *shrug*

1) Ten hours sleep Thursday so you are fresh for the weekend.
Can people do this? Even though I am childless, I couldn't get over 8 hours sleep if i wanted to. I seem to average 6-7 hours per night (and that's measuring my sleep with the sleep cycle app...). Even after a 16 hour work day yesteray, I was exhausted and managed to wake up at 7 this morning after going to bed at midnight.

On a similar note, from personal experience, if you've been chopping chilli's DO NOT scratch your nuts, even if you have washed your hands.
