I suffer with the same. Long body and little legs
I just stick with plain T-shirts from H&M, GAP or buy bulk from Fruit of the Loom etc. Cheap enough so once you've washed them a few times and they've shrunk you can chuck them and buy new ones.. Although you get the odd few which never shrink and last for years.
As far as good makes which last, I find I can buy two of the same make/style and they be completely different fit - so it's an annoying case of trying each and every item on. American Apparel and All Saints are good in length if you're not a fat lad.

For every day cheap as chips T shirts I find Tesco ones are good length. If you are shrinking them then dont put them on a hot wash. Being a cheapskate I have some Tesco T shirts that must be 3 years old now and still fine. Just do them on 30 Deg wash.
All of my clothes used to shrink within a few months, worked out that my mother in law was popping round when we were out and doing a few washes to help out, all on 90 Deg then sticking them in the tumble dryer on high temp setting. That will shrink anything .
