Just seems to be "normal" for people these days to take pictures of everything they do and everywhere they visit - we had guests the other week, and within minutes of arrival they were posting up an update of their visit.. Odd world we live in now.
The correct response was for her friends to post, "Ah, her house is empty, let's burgle it."

Makes me glad I don't do social media. They really post sweaty pictures of themselves up for you all to see? And you don't comment on how sweaty and nackered they look?

Food too. Gosh, you're eating, really? That's soo unusual, well done for letting us all know.

It's the MEMEME culture of little soldiers and pwincesses brought up by doting parents (desperate to be little Tyrone/Chlamidya's best fwend) to think they are the centre of the universe and everyone cares.

I find it all a bit ridiculous to be honest. Seeing people post selfies, literally everywhere they go. Why? I just don't get it. Solo selfie, group selfie, holiday selfie, driving selfie (yes seen those). The problem is I'm in that age group, where all they seem to do is take bloody selfies.

I was out at the weekend for a friends birthday, suddenly these girls shout out "selfie!" and they're all crowding round the outstretched arm of one of them. It's fking bewildering, if you want a photo, ask someone to take it for you! It looks better that way doesn't it?

The ones where the person is by themself is even worse. They just end up looking like a posing tosser, desperate for some kind of validation or attention. "RANDOM SELFIE LOL" - How is it fking random? You've clearly done your hair, makeup, dressed up, found some good lighting, pulled a fking stupid face, took the photo, applied a filter and uploaded it. fk off sunshine, it isn't random.

Rant over.

I just don't get it and to be honest, I think they look a bit silly. The problem is I'm in that age group, where all they seem to do is take bloody selfies.

It's the selfies where girls pucker up their lips and do the duck pout thing, they make themselves look ridiculous; my daughter has the most gorgeous friend, who is lovely, she pulls this ridiculous pose with her lips and looks bloody stupid.

It's a funny thing this 'going to the gym' lark...

I think 'the gym' is the new church (bear with me)... Some people need a social gathering place where they all follow the same good cause (in their opinion)...so, whereas people used to get their social 'doing the right thing' kick from going to church, they now get it from going to the gym.
They will valiantly defend their cause just like any religious nutter would.

If you think about it, I'm right.

^^^^^Very much this ^^^^^

Like girls who post full body selfies and caption it "oh I'm so fat"; they aren't fat, they know they aren't fat, they are waiting for the inevitable flurry of compliments from their "friends", "OMG you are so not fat, your are so gorgeous.......XOXOXO" If they were that hung up about being fat, they wouldn't post up a "fat" selfie.
