Beard etiquette

I grew a beard for winter and I still have it. It's very grey, unlike the rest of the hair on my head.

My beard will be gone as soon as Le Mans is over as that's 5 days I won't bother shaving, then it will be (should be!) too warm to keep it.

The beard will reappear in Autumn.

If anyone hasn't seen this song, it's appropriate and amusing. My son found it for me when I had a period of distinguished facial topiary last year...

Another one here who has a beard mostly because I dislike shaving.

I grew it to a 6mm guard for few months then got bored and done nothing for about 5 months. It got a bit wild but not that long. Too long for clippers though.

Now I let my barber take care of it. About 15 minutes and £7. I have to get my hair done every 4 weeks or and generally get a beard top up every 2. As for other maintenance, throwing a but of shampoo / conditioner is hardly arduous when I'm in the shower washing my hair!

Just to clarify I'm under 50 and definitely don't play hide the sausage.
