Do you have the knees for it? Some people don't have the knees for shorts.

You're going to make me say it, aren't you?

You're going to make me use my 19,993rd post to say the words, "Did you know that Chas'n'Dave opened for Led Zepellin at Knebworth in 1979?"
I don't care.

Local ITV news reporting on a burst water-main in Kennington today were interviewing a chap who was cleaning up after the water went down in his flat - his name being 'Prin Damper' so had a little giggle.

Vigorously hand-sanding fibreglass moulds. Outside in the sun on a humid 25 degree day. In black overalls. Whilst wearing a full face respirator.

Kill me now please...

At least you are outside

Seal yourself into an kevlar armoured 3 layer shot blasting suit and helmet for 8 hours, breathing compressed air, in a sealed workshop, @30 degrees Celsius with no natural light or ventilation, for 5 days a week, 6 weeks on the trot and then complain.

I'm NOT complaining because all the xtra money makes up for the dehydration, dry mouth and deafening racket of high pressure air whistling over my shoulder

I saw Ali_kat, a Singer Porsche (the yellow coupe) and an utterly mint maroon coloured XJC today. It's been an excellent day.

Morning. It's early, breakfast consumed and it's only 50 more miles to Goring (well, in a circular loop).

I pulled into Nazareth
I was feeling 'bout half past dead
I just need a place
Where I can lay my head
"Hey, mister, can you tell me
where a man might find a bed?"
He just grinned and shook my hand
"No," was all he said.

Opening for Led Zepellin in 1979 at Knebworth?

Yes and no. It was the Knebworth Music Festival.

My memory always told me that Chas'n'Dave preceded Zepellin and when I asked Dave (at their farewell bash in Newbury) "Do I remember it correctly that you opened for Led Zeppelin at Knebworth?" he said, "Yes, 1979." Dead chuffed he was.

Other acts included The New Barbarians (featuring Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards), Todd Rundgren and Utopia, Southside Johnny, Marshall Tucker, Commander Cody and Fairport Convention.
