It's a shame that F1 went into London so early that most of the people who would like to see it wouldn't be around at those times in the morning.

By all accounts Andy already brings that car to quite a few events and places where people can see it, I don't blame him at all for trying to stay away from the hordes of shmee wannabes in London.

I disagree.
You disagree that he brings it to events and places to be seen?

Or do you disagree with him wanting to go somewhere to take pictures of his car without being mobbed by a bunch of kids with cheap DSLRs and camera phones?

Or do you disagree with something else entirely?

It's unfair that he took his own car somewhere when it suited him, to let some people see it, then left when it suited him?

In the seventies a friend of mine was told he was lucky to have David Bowie autograph his programme after a concert. The truth was he had been to every Bowie concert in the UK for several years and each time waited at the stage door afterwards hoping to have a programme autographed. Eventually Bowie recognised him. It's one of those 'you make your own luck' things, Michael.

How did you know about the Ingatestone garage ?... As you mentioned it before you went through Essex the other day.

Admittedly I haven't been in London today but I would of liked to see it, seeing a car at a show doesn't compare to it out on the road, I will stop mentioning it now and go and stand in the corner of the room facing the wall laugh

A couple of weeks ago I took a car to an auction site near Ingatestone. I saw the garage but was running a bit late and didn't stop to take a picture. The governor of the yard kindly took me to the railway station and gave a running commentary on the passing scenery. He really went to town on the brothers Wakelin. What a smashing story. This week I took a car to Ipswich and had a little diversion.
