Did I mention I put too much horseradish on my pastrami?

Do I mean pastrami? Isn't that a pasta? It's the thin sliced beef I'm talking about.

They're not as good as they used to be and they're smaller too; the Evil Corporate Beancounters at Kraft made the chocolate crappier than it already was.

Impossible... it couldn't get any worse than how I remember them.

You're too old to pull off a rucksack as hand luggage.
People told me that wandering around Venice with a suitcase whilst trying to find the hotel is a big nono, hence I need to find a Rucksack.

I'm not planning on going to a disco wearing one.
We bought a couple of those small wheely cases that just fit as hand luggage. They were absolutely fine for walking from the waterbus to the hotel.

I have a crack that needs filling in the bedroom. It's only a settlement crack on the wall but it's quite large and has been bugging me for a while, so I'll probably, er, crack on and fill it soon. This of course will mean sloshing a bit of paint about afterwards so I popped into the maintenance guy's office to see if they knew what colour the interior walls are here.

They were very helpful and gave me three Dulux vinyl matt possibilities to choose from, citing builder's whimsy as to why there isn't a definitive colour. A visit to B&Q for the three appropriate tester pots and a dab of each on the wall last night to look for a colour match today.

It's none of those three. Looks like I'll be painting the whole room. /sigh/

Drink 5 or 6 bottles of an unpronounceable lager, take up speaking in a thick eastern European accent, find a radio station that plays inexplicably catchy techno-folk and flirt with any woman that walks past.

You'll be able to paint the room in about 40 minutes.

I like the premium scotch eggs from the deli counter in Sainsburys. Well worth the extra.

Premium scotch eggs? Is that not a bit like luxury bread and dripping or deluxe fishfinger sandwiches? hehe

I have the annual bore fest that is the compulsory driver's CPC tomorrow.

YAY !

I should get some sleep to ensure I don't drop off in the company "boardroom".

I won't be the least intelligent person in the room,by a long chalk.

ION...looks like another wet weekend in suburbia.

YAY !

IO more interesting (to me biggrin) N,

I'm off to stay with daughter up in that there London this weekend. We're going to the O2 to see Top Gear Clarkson, Hammond and May Live on Sunday. Should be (contrived) fun.

I've already sorted out your present, iva.

Try not to guess what it is.

I started to wrap it

but I ran out of paper.

And then my trestle fell over.

Fancy swapping Impasse ?

I'll go to the O2 with your daughter and you can do what I posted above.

What's the worst that could happen ?

This was downstairs this evening. Not really my cup leaf infused beverage, but you've got to admire the decision process that ended up with choosing orange.
