Bit of a crossover from the shoes thread but I managed to be one of the very lucky, very few to get a pair of Reebok Alien Stompers this morning. Already seen a pair sell on eBay for £580.
I get you'll make money, but are these made for a joke ? No mans going to every wear them !! I'd actually stop you in the street to laugh at you if I saw you wearing them.

Just about to take the plunge with this to add to existing gas BBQ and Chimnea with grill......(I like cooking outdoors...)

Anyone know of any better alternatives?
The Uuni2 is cheaper but doesn't look as sturdy. I'm tempted as I love both Neapolitan pizzas and outdoor cooking but I rarely use my charcoal Weber bbq as it is. Hmmm https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/roccbox-the-por...

No. Not at all. you can see more of my mirth in the council thread.
Yes, I really would stop, point and laugh. There is simply no excuse for those trainers, other than to pretend its 1985 and you are Marty McFly.
I presume they only come in Juvenille sizing and not men's fittings ?
Still a fool and their money are soon parted.
Anyway why be personal ? I'm not criticising you hanging about the Blue Oyster bar in your trainers ? But you can't in all honesty say another human being has gone, "wow" nice purchase, in real life to your face ??!!!

I've never seen anyone be wrong five times in a single post before. Thank you for introducing me to a genuinely new experience.Yes, I really would stop, point and laugh. There is simply no excuse for those trainers, other than to pretend its 1985 and you are Marty McFly.

A colleague in work is also into the whole trainer scene and spends mental amounts on them. He does wear some of them as well and looks like a complete plank but that's his call.
People seem to get very excited about them though. This is a great (and in a way sad) article about Ian Brown from the Stone Roses tracking down some really rare vintage Adidas gear in a time warp shop in Buenos Aires. Interesting read.

There's actually a short film about it too which is worth a watch if you're into that sort of thing - it's hard to believe such places still exist.People seem to get very excited about them though. Just bought/funded two KAISR Originals via Indiegogo:
Details HERE. Looks like it should be good for holidays, packs up small but tough and waterproof.
Brilliant. I've also ordered 2!Details HERE. Looks like it should be good for holidays, packs up small but tough and waterproof.
I had mine last night, went for grey and orange. Should be great for the summer!

Ok, perhaps not massively frivolous and it could be argued that I do need it.....Anyway, just bought the Secrid card RFID card protector.
I bought it because It has a cool lever operated card release mechanism that fans the cards out for easy pickings.
Who doesn't like levers??

Thanks - that looks good, but doesn't seem as insulated as the Roccbox, plus it doesn't have the adaptability of gas or wood burners included, so I am thinking the Roccbox is still the way forward..
I can't seem to find any concrete information on a release date or delivery times for the Roccbox. I'm tempted by one but don't want to wait several months for deliveryHalf the price of the Kaisr which I felt was a bit pricey for what is effectively a big bag.

Has everyone who funded/bought these had their survey for colour choice?

Not had my email yet, though have had plenty of messages saying my colour choice questionnaire is on its way (or not, as the one I had yesterday said).I had mine last night, went for grey and orange. Should be great for the summer!
Given that despite raising nearly $4mill it's still the usual startup catastrophe, I've pretty much written them off arriving before I leave for some hols at the end of May. Any time in summer 2016 would be a bonus
My wife reckons the kids will be able to break them in 5 mins anyway.

Yes yes, but does it have a bottle opener?! http://www.gearbest.com/hammock-and-sleeping-bags/...
Also, it appears to be able to take less maximum weight than the Kaisr at 200kg (Kaisr states 250+), doesn't seem to have loops for pegging down, no pockets and according to the answer at the bottom can't be used in water.

Meh. The loops I can see the advantage of but not really sure about the others. And even the loops, how many times will people actually bother (and how do you peg on sand?)
