It does look like it comes pre-crashed, not one of the better Technic sets imo.
It looks like a cheap Chinese version of a Transformer toy. I don't understand the fascination of such overpriced rubbish.

I think the Porsche takes a bad photo, it looks great in real life.
It doe shave technical features, engine, paddle shift gearbox, suspension, steering but it's all hidden. I wavered for a long while before ordering but I'm happy with it. It's very strong money though.
The Ghostbusters Firehouse was £275!... Lego definitely know how to extract the pennies! It doe shave technical features, engine, paddle shift gearbox, suspension, steering but it's all hidden. I wavered for a long while before ordering but I'm happy with it. It's very strong money though.

It'll treble in price over the next couple of years...
That is a bold predictionIts not a limited edition set, and so far technic isnt prone to huge price increases, not UCS SW like anyway, and so far reception has been pretty mixed on the car as well. Some of the older technic (like 8880) seems to fetch a multiple of the original price these days, but lets not forget there is 20 years of inflation at work there as well
Only unique parts are the wheel arches and wheels/tires, and obviously some colour unique parts.
There might be some of my personal disappointment about the set leaking through, but i think in general the days of lego as a huge investment are over anyways, Lego keeps their UCS sets in good supply, and a LOT of people buy them to stock em away. Wouldnt surprise me if in 5 years there will be thousands of people asking insane prices for loads of sets they just cant shift, because they are waaaay too common.

That is a nice price for MBP!Phunk said:
Where's it from? I was going to hold off on replacing my 6 year old MBP as a new one is around the corner, but can't complain at that price
Apple Refurbished store - 4% cashback via Quidco too, so I think it'll work out about £820. Should get about £800 for my 2011MBP and iPad which never get used so basically free Cheapest one yesterday was £1,049 (think that may have been 16GB RAM) but they're still there now at £849

This month has seen this:
Which is entirely frivolous as I already have a 18v Ryobi impact wrench. The new one is up to 400nm though, my old one was 250nm or so - that's my justification.

Nice. I just bought a Forerunner 235, on the basis that I saw someone on Strava with graphs of heart rate, cadence and some other stuff as well after running. I have no idea what they mean, but I thought that I should have some anyway prand said:

Just got back from holiday and discovered a refund email from Kaisr..... let's see how long it takes to get the money back!
Yeah, I backed the campaign and bought two units, so have been following in this sorry tale too. It's a big shame it has come to this but at least I'm getting a refund (possibly).I don't really get the fact that this company gets sued by the original designers & sellers of the "air lounge" concept, yet there are now loads of cheaper knockoff versions available on Amazon and the web.

Been looking for a Kayak for ages! Would you recommend it over a hard bodied canoe or equivalent?
Link?

I have owned proper kayaks in the past and I can honestly say this is just as much fun providing you're not into serious white water rafting obviously. The convenience of chucking it in the boot rather than messing around lugging a plastic one around/tying it up etc makes it worth while IMO. The plastic is quite thick too so should last a fair while providing you stay clear of rocks etc..
