This fking padlock! !!!

I can't do it. It has been chucked acros the room countless times. Now it's sat there, laughing at me......
Use a fair bit of pressure with the rotation tool, then use the L shaped pick starting from the last pin and work your way forwards. You can feel them click into place as you go.

Re the CROFT watch... Does anyone else's day not change at the same time as the date? I haven't RTFM yet, but would be good to know.

Personally I think it's alright, but not quite what I was expecting.
It seems to do it over a period of an hour or two. There weren't any destructions with my one, so just fiddled about as normal and thought I had it fine. Have realised I have it at the wrong cycle currently, it changes at 12:00 - 14:00 rather than 00:00-02:00.
Is it just me, or is that a bit... naff? Ok, so mine's the same as that. Couple that with the box being broken on arrival and the reasonably rubbish look of the watch (e.g. the buckle being huge), I'd say this was definitely frivolous as I won't wear it.
Just wind it back 12 hours?

I already have a pair of decent OE headphones (grado sr125s), and a pair of half decent IE buds too (sennheiser cx500). But I want to listen to OE headphones in the office whilst CADing away. My grados leak too much sound for that, and occasionally it gets noisy, especially if someone's got some machinery going in the workshop next door....

So I've just ordered a pair of these AKG N60nc active noise cancelling headphones. Generally had much better reviews than the Bose/any other competitors variants. And a bargain on secret sales at the moment!

Well after delivery was delayed 3 times by secret sales due to distributor issues, and then being delivered to my parents house two weeks back, I finally have these.

I must say, they are rather good, not as good as the grades (obviously), but not a million miles off. First time I put them on I must say I was very disappointed, but after a couple of hours, they seem to be bedding in nicely and are an awful lot better than straight out of the box.

I'd also like to note that the build quality is superb. The noise cancelling does a good job at removing constant noise/drones, but not as good at irregular/high pitch noises. For example, I'm sat in the kitchen and the washing machine is going with no music. The motor noise is almost completely gone, but the zips on my jeans catching on the metal drum (tink tink tink) is more noticeable.

Very pleased!

Opened it on the first go after watching a youtube video.

Tried the padlock on the shed, first go.

I've completely lost the 'knack' and can't get it picked for toffee. Rather annoyingly my 10 year old boy can now do it without looking in a matter of seconds - caught him trying to pick the patio doors on Saturday.... I've sent for the clear cylinder lock and a cheap normal padlock to have a bash at.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01825P12G/ref...

The cylinder lock is strange as the pins seem to be at 45 degrees to the pick at first go. Off to Youtube I go.....

My Echo has just turned up! It seems to understand my Yorkshire accent and is currently streaming music from Prime, actually sounds ok out of the box, wonder if it will bed in a bit? I've also been informed of the local weather forecast. My dog is going nuts though, running around the house wondering WTF Alexa is laugh

Yeah, I got mine today as well. Now that I know what the weather is like in multiple locations, and I've successfully added dog st bags to my shopping list I'm at a bit of a loss really.

I already have Sonos for music.

There's voice training for Alexa available through the app if you have difficulties.
Mine gets primarily used to time things and for access to google calendar 'Alexa, when is my next appointment'.
Some good stuff on the thread in Computers, gadgets and stuff though, plenty of home automation ideas.

what a shame, I bought a new bike 3.5 weeks ago. clocked about 250/275 miles on it so far. If my bike had been as good as yours, it would have been even more ! can't believe you can't get a few hours in after the kids are in bed ?
