I have no need for this but i bought it anyway

A old Sony reel to reel from between 1973 - 1976 so that makes it at least 39 years old and it still mostly works - does need a refurb but getting it back to 100% working will give me something to do

Just ordered one of these heated jackets...

https://www.milwaukeetool.com/heated-gear

Seemed like a good idea at the time.

I couldn't resist...

Matchless Nettleton quilted waterproof coat.

Just been delivered. A very, very nice jacket...I'm now a lot less bothered by the cost of it.

How long do the batteries last? My homebuild bike one runs at 50W so I wouldn't fancy trying to run it of such a small battery pack.

Turned up today, looks ok for 7p
Mine turned up today, and I really can't complain for 7p !

However, I'm still chuckling at the 'instruction' card - on the front you have a layout with helpful numbers against each specific tool, so when you turn it over you can see the corresponding list of numbers and a description of what each tool is / does. In Chinese...!!! biggrin
Mine turned up too, I thought "what's this bit for, I'll look on the instructions... Oh it's in Chinese!" getmecoat
Was in maplin earlier, these were selling for 3.49 and didn't look any better quality.

As a concept, that's totally super-cool and I love it. Aesthetically, though, I think they look awful (although perhaps it's the pic).

I'm afraid they are hand made by the son of a chap at work who's an apprentice at some aerospace company. They are pukka Aerospace carbon, if there is a difference. I supplied the rods and pistons smile

Oh, absolutely! So long as you like them and they don't cause ructions with the other half then crack on. thumbup

Edit: They suit your bedroom quite well though.

They do fit in with your furniture and decor, and look better than they did in the original pic. Not necessarily my personal style (I tend to be more Art Nouveau, Shabby Chic, Steampunk, and the like) but fair play to you.

Thankfully I had £300 in John Lewis vouchers from work so that helped take the sting out a little. However before getting the box from out back, the sales girl said they'd just got the keyboard case in so I figured I might as well get one of those too as they're as rare as hens teeth. I also knew after checking online that the Apple Store had just got some pencils in so I went straight over there afterwards.
It's expensive but it's a lot more than just a big iPad. It's a cracking bit of kit!

They reckon...

M12™ REDLITHIUM™ 2.0 Compact Battery - 8hr (Low), 4.5hr (Medium), 3.25hr (High)

You can buy a higher capacity battery though.

Used it for the first time today for a couple of hours on high and it's down to half. I was sweating a bit towards the end though!

Very pleased with it.

What did you use for the heat pads?
