I think that's been posted a few times now. When it was first announced it looked like it was ground breaking but I think there's a few alternatives out there now.
For those of us with YouTube blocked at work, what is that?
It's that quadcopter drone Action Camera that you throw up into the air and which follows you. The one that has already been posted on this thread, and discussed at length, several times.

I had two on order - just cancelled both.

They were supposed to ship in this month, but that has slipped and so delivery currently unknown.

It's a high price point too and the current design hasn't really developed. There are also (unresolved) issues over what it does in terms of collision detection. All very good it following you about in wide open spaces, but as it follows your transmitter, it's not 'looking' for othe obstacles - so if you walk under a tree it will smack straight into it.

Also, the Far East develops Drone tech so quickly and at a far cheaper price point. A couple of months after my initial order with Lily, I bought two FPV drones (Tx with built in screens too) for the princely sum of £60. Compare that to almost a grand for the Lily!??!

For what I use them for there was no sense in having them. I see disappointment ahead for those who finally receive them....

Not even novel - airdog was released ages ago, and announced a few months before Lily. Lily clearly has a great PR team though.

The Solo looks like the cam drone of choice at the moment.

I think this will be the drone product of 2016. Outshining even dji's latest product offerings
https://youtu.be/nAvNBPyoreU
Collision avoidance, indoor altitude lock, full 360° camera rotation all from within the included backpack

Reaffirms my decision to cancel the Lily!

Yet more smellies from scent samples. I already have a bagful of sample bottles but some have run out so stocking up again. I made the expensive mistake of finding basenotes.net which is PH for the olfactory senses. Same discussions, same tantrums and bullst, different topic.

Refills - All great but too expensive to buy in large bottles
Tom Ford - Neroli Portofino
Creed - Green Irish Tweed
Tauer - L'air du Desert Marocain

New for me
Dior - Sauvage
Guerlain - Vetiver

New for her
Guerlain - Mitsuoko
Guerlain - Shalamar
Damn you.

To have one would be uneccessary as I only have 1 set of keys. Looks damn cool though.

I suppose it might be even more cooler to make your own from something broken?

I have no need for this, i have no tapes but something told me i had to have it

It is from the late 70's (my reel to reel is from the early 70's so in theory these were both on sale at the same time)

it needs a service according to the previous seller but it will give me something to do - annoyingly the cassette deck arrived just as i was off to work so ive not been able to power it up and test it yet

Yes i know in 2016 having both a reel2reel and a casette deck is pointless but its just nice to have them

Also ordered one of these for the raspberryPi in my stereo rack so i can capture recordings from old reel2reel tapes and increase the sq of the Pi

Well im hoping i can get the deck back to factory standard. The ebay seller i bought it from was a electronics recycling place - They advised ti chews tapes but im doubting they tested it - just went with what they were told was wrong with it

Looking at photos of the inside if it is chewing tapes then i have a rough idea on what is wrong with it so it may be an easy fix

Plus it has analogue VU meters on it - this makes it and the reel2reel recorder utterly cool as analogue vu meters appeal to my inner nerd

I think that and the mechanical feel of the cassette buttons trumps how entirely pointless it is smile

Well as expected it does need some work but considering its from the late 70's the fact its still around and sort of working is impressive

plus it was only 8quid so utterly pointless but for a price i could not say no to

Used to have the same one throughout my teens when my Dad upgraded his deck, I connected it to my computer with a pair of Sennheiser headphones, then found a set of big Sony speakers at recycling centre, great memories, used to love watching the needles bounce around with the cool yellow tinted glow.

Edit - had the SONY STR 313S too.

Seeing that casette units reminds me of a slightly funny story. I still had my NAD cd player, Denon amp, Cambridge Audi cassette deck and Dual turntable sitting in my parents loft from my uni days. So with the stereo going in my house stopping working (micro switches in the cd try and the local service agent not being able to repair them), I thought it was time to bring the component stereo back to my curent residence (Dubai).

So I packed the amp, cassette deck and cd player into the check in bags. For some reason I get diverted to the "please put your bags through the x-ray machine" queue when leaving Dubai airport. The only way I could get the 2 young local x-ray machine operatros to understand what a cassette deck was was to say "you know cd player?", yes they answered, "well same same style but before cd player", ah ok they say.

Could be fun if I bring the father-in-laws reel-to-reel player back...
