I get the connection with Aliens, but why would a man buy them?
Investment?
Collection?

I really don't need it but I can't wait to tear my car apart and get it installed.
That looks absolutely awesome.

(What does it do?)

(I agree about the Power Ranger boots too)

Joke's on you then. That's not a set of footwear, it's a guaranteed investment. Or did you not read the bit about a pair already selling for £580?

Bit of a crossover from the shoes thread but I managed to be one of the very lucky, very few to get a pair of Reebok Alien Stompers this morning. Already seen a pair sell on eBay for £580.

They may do, but as I learnt from a young colleague there is money in trainers, he used to buy up trainers and quickly flip them for a very impressive mark up.

Precisely. I'll expect to scoop up about £400 in profit on these.

Surely the joke's on the person who pays £580 on them. But presumably they're buying them because they expect them to go up even more, surely nobody ever wears them?

For £580 I'd want them to be able to fly biggrin

In the interest of closure, the NERF gun is now able to leave welts.

I am also banned from using it indoors apparently.
This has also happened to me. I feel your pain.

I have decided to make amends by buying one for my 3 year old son... hehe

I was none the wiser to this until recently. I became mates with a chap who runs a trainer shop. Although humble and unassuming, it was only when he bought a fair chunk of the night's rounds that I discovered he's made millions in the process at mid-30s. The shop has close relationships to secure this limited edition stuff. People will queue all night outside to get in the doors for special early opening days that occur when these limited editions come to the market.

Whole thing was hugely enlightening and I was staggered at the popularity of a pair of training shoes.

My son shared his new Bosch Drill with a friend, who tried to use it in the sandpit, causing it to not work properly. Not wanting to wait for me to get home from work, the missus tried to mend it herself, so now it's proper fked.

We want him to share his toys, so feel it's fair to replace it for him.

Replacement for £16.49:

Alternative replacement for £16.49:

Yep, and now I'm even more annoyed that Aldi have them for £9.99 this weekend.

I'd say so. 85 quid for something to hold your soap? Some high level frivolity there.
It's even worse when you can get the same sort of solid brass one for £40 less at M&S

http://www.marksandspencer.com/pimlico-2-tier-corn...

I put one in last week and it's very nicely made.
Tis not comparable I'm afraid.

I looked at that one first. smile
This is true I may have the same one as the op. Looked around for ages for one that looked like the chrome would last and was nice and solid.
Thought mine was subtly different. It is. Did I really spend that much?
