I have a USB one - not as useful as one initially expects.
Once I knew how many socks are down the back of the hot water tank, I'd be stumped for further uses.

Where can I get one? hehe

You should definitely get two so that you can search for pairs of socks.

Reminds me of the tread in MM about the bloke with something clunking in cylinder 4 of his MR2 engine

If this scope has mirror attachments to look at an angle, this would be pretty useful for inspecting engine innards without taking the head off

A friend turned up with a USB one a couple of weeks ago. Obviously I told him he should have ordered two so I could buy one off him!

A week later I discovered we had a leak somewhere in the bathroom behind the fitted cabinets.
Access was pretty limited, but I managed to find the source of the leak in about 5 minutes using his USB Endoscope. (It was from the outlet of the concealed cistern if anyone cares).

Of course, I doubt I'll need one again in the foreseeable future, however I still feel the need to buy one. biggrin

My friends one came with a little 90 degree mirror attachment for the end.

Pens. And their ilk.
I'm not 'into' them or anything, but have a couple of niceish Montblancs that were gifts yonks ago.

Yet I now find myself looking at 2 grand pencils and thinking 'I could make that work'

Surely never justifiable?

I'm sure a B&Q own brand kettle or even a cheaper Weber would have been fine...

Ten times better than a cheapo supermarket one.

Entirely not frivolous.... unless you're a vegetarian.

To replace the predecessor, which flew away.... (3 minutes after I'd first flown it)

One of my colleagues is vegan, and still has a Weber. Apparently you can do amazing things with tofu...

I wouldn't bother, he picked that up In duty free for £12.99 with me the other weekend.

I'm sorely tempted. yes

I tend to save interesting bottles, put a small hole through them with a tile drill, and put fairy lights in them. They look great. I would love to do a Crystal Head Vodka one.

Here's two I've done...

Tell us more about this. My great, great grandfather was a designer of dentistry equipment (more specifically, he invented the dentist's chair). I wonder if that is one of his.
I don't know much about it, it appears to have been made by Ritter, whoever they are, it has lots of switches dials and bits that pull out and go back in. Don't worry I shant be attempting to use it, I don't hate anyone that much. It makes a very useful, if scarey, side-table in a room which used to be a dentist's surgery.
