I'm sure a B&Q own brand kettle or even a cheaper Weber would have been fine...
You can blame me if it rains this weekend
Definitely *not* frivolous- snap and ours says hello. Assembled last night You can blame me if it rains this weekend
Weather is a bit st here this weekend, else id consider firing up the Weber as well

I was heading to pick up my new bike today (slightly frivolous, but I do need it), and had a 15 minutes to kill so went into Wonderland Models in Edinburgh and picked up this Airfix kit (they are selling off very old stock). My dad is ex-RAF and worked on Lightnings so I had to buy it even though I will never build it.

Tell us more about this. My great, great grandfather was a designer of dentistry equipment (more specifically, he invented the dentist's chair). I wonder if that is one of his.
Dunno but I do remember being drilled with a very similar device when I was a kiddy. I was too fascinated by it to be scared and it was infinitely preferable to the ultra high-speed type with water spray. So, no extra toothache from temperature sensitivity. So what if there was the smell and taste of burning enamel? This was after the use of a chrome plated, hypodermic with a glass barrel and a reusable needle. The dentist was called G. Bonner-Brummit and he was ex-army and remarkably skilled.
New Mills, Derbyshire, around 1962.

Once I knew how many socks are down the back of the hot water tank, I'd be stumped for further uses.
Where can I get one?
You should definitely get two so that you can search for pairs of socks. Where can I get one?
A week later I discovered we had a leak somewhere in the bathroom behind the fitted cabinets.
Access was pretty limited, but I managed to find the source of the leak in about 5 minutes using his USB Endoscope. (It was from the outlet of the concealed cistern if anyone cares).
Of course, I doubt I'll need one again in the foreseeable future, however I still feel the need to buy one.

I have that exact one, but mine is pink has been duffed up and distressed - I bought it at a Collectors Fair. Nice little DAB radio but it's a shame it can't connect to Wi-Fi and stream music over the network.
I could not justify the price difference for the connected model. worked out about £70 more then the DAB one. We have an old FM one thats a good 10 years old so hope this one lasts

Ok, perhaps not massively frivolous and it could be argued that I do need it.....Anyway, just bought the Secrid card RFID card protector.
I bought it because It has a cool lever operated card release mechanism that fans the cards out for easy pickings.
Who doesn't like levers??

Thin, sleek design..Holds 6 cards, yeah...I quite like it.
By the way, got mine from the www.penworld.eu website, much cheaper (£60 versus £75 - £100 on the various UK websites).
Just bought one of these https://www.oztent.co.uk/acatalog/King-Kokoda-Chai... Fed up with crap chairs.

£100! Where from?
Sorry, probably should have mentioned that. Actually looks like it can be had for £84.https://www.internetgardener.co.uk/product/charcoa...
Just to add, in the pictures above I used quite an expensive cut of meet - a bone in ribeye roast cut.
For the first few tries I'd recommend using brisket. Cheaper and still an incredible result if done right.
