Sorry, probably should have mentioned that. Actually looks like it can be had for £84.

Just to add, in the pictures above I used quite an expensive cut of meet - a bone in ribeye roast cut.

For the first few tries I'd recommend using brisket. Cheaper and still an incredible result if done right.

Thanks Dobbo. I was looking at a Weber, but they are considerably more expensive. At £85 it almost seems rude not to!

PS. Just over £80 from Amazon smile

I'm quite certain that weber make a better product. For me, something I use 3 or 4 times a year doesn't have to be perfect. Yes it leaks smoke a bit and yes it's not as well made but for the price it's absolutely fine.

And if you don't get on with smoking stuff you remove the middle section and end up with a really good portable barbeque! smile

Some pics of a brisket from start to finish:

And leftovers!

My Occulus Gear VR arrived.

Its very, very weird! Will take some getting used to.... but its a cheap entry in to VR.

Be interested to hear your thoughts on this, I fancy a dabble myself.

It makes me wonder why the occulus rift is so massive! This looks more like it.

How much if you don't mind me asking? I've considered getting one of these for my bebop drone.

Did not know about this and a quick internet search shows it might be what I need actually.

Can I please ask where you got it from and how much that was?

Thank you

€100 here in NL.

About £80 in the UK I believe....

Its a cool gadget, thats for sure. €100 is the perfect price point. It can get very, very immersive after 5-10 mins... ie. trying to grab stuff off the 'coffee table' in Netflix mode hehe ....... yes, I did do that.
Out of curiousity, what does it do, and what do you need? I was under the impression that the gear VR was only for use with some high end samsung phone, and thus is no use for gaming etc..

If it is €100 and can be used as a VR display for gaming etc.. i might just have to give it a go

Very similar to Steve Thomas' art although I don't think they are his unless they are ones I haven't seen before.

Yes that is a shame - sounds a bit too frivolous.

I'll set mine up tonight.

Sounds cool ill admit, and if money wasnt tight (and i had a compatible phone) i'd have one in a heartbeat...

But Gear VR + phone == more then enough money to upgrade my PC to play DooM... which is slightly more awesome then having a VR netflix theatre

Just picked up a Naim Mu-so Qb. I really wanted the full-fat version (which I may buy at a later stage), but have nowhere for it to naturally sit in the house. This should make for a good bedroom system!

I obviously haven't been frivolous enough lately, until yesterday when I spent a couple of grand on parts to fit to my engine to make more power. It already has over 600bhp as it is!

Just in case that was aimed at me, but I don't think it was... Bought from the Apple Store, though it's available in quite a few places, including John Lewis, Superfi, Peter Tyson and Curry's. All the same price regardless though.
