Just following on from my purchase yesterday of a used Daskeyboard S Pro with Cherry MX Blue keys, I have discovered that there is quite the "scene" for after-market customisations of such keyboards with alternative keycaps readily available.

Right now I'm considering the frivolous purchase of replacement W, A, S and D keys in red.

of course the whole thing with mechanical keyboards is they can be made over thusly...

As used by these...

Sorry, but just a bit TOO try-hard.

I'll keep my ten quid black plastic wireless thing thanks.

I know my post is the complete opposite objective of this thread but I bought a Cobra gaming keyboard that had red W,A,S and D keys. I have swapped them for the black keys that came with it.

Not sure the keys will fit your keyboard but happy to post them to you when I am back in the UK after 15th August. Send a pm with your address if you would like them.

I've been looking at that tv too...

Couple of questions, my better half's viewing position is six foot to the left of the screen and twelve foot in front - would the view still be good with the fairly shallow curved screen?

Also, do either of you play console games online? We had to return a well reviewed tv as it was unplayable due to lag...

Cheers!

On the keyboard theme, on massdrop right now:

https://www1.massdrop.com/buy/the-aviator-keyboard

Appears to be a cheaper version of one already mentioned.

Sorry, can't answer either as I don't have room to go six foot to the side of my TV and I've got rid of my xbox!

I'm trying to find a reason not to buy a HP 7 plus G2 tab.

It's on offer for 79 quid at present.

Only 4.4 and the specs aren't stellar, but I love my stream and use it as my default slate.

The 7 would do nowt any of my tabs do apart from one thing.

That 79 quid includes 2 years of 3G data. Only 250 MB a month, but still, it would be handy thing to have in the back of my bag for times the phone dies and it would be plenty for a handy Kindle device I can buy from anywhere.

As far as I can tell the data package is Europe wide too.

So works out at 3 quid a month for the data with a free tab.

I am struggling not to.

Anyone know much about drones? Mate was mucking about with parrot ar 2.0 that he has had sat about for well pver a year now.

We ended up lookng at various youtube videos and there seem to be some cool ones out there. His 2.0 has been superceded by the bepop. The phantom 3 looks awesome but has a pricetag to match.

Are there any options for a generic one that can house/mount a go pro?

I have just ordered this Walkera Scout x4. I have been looking at it for a week and then tonight when i went to order it, it was discounted by nearly £200.

Spent the last week looking at them and this seems the best bang for the buck.Has been flown up to 3.5km away and has android/apple app that lets you fly it with a route planner and "follow me" feature.

Not sure how long it will be reduced. There is a version available with an "ilook plus" camera if you do not own a go pro.

Looks good, I best get saving up then. I like the specs of the airdog, the tracking feature would be great for countryside drives etc but it aint cheap either. Will borrow my mates Parrott and see if I use it enough to warrant buying my own drone.

I've just returned from a trip to Florida and initially I was half-tempted to purchase an Apple Watch when I was over there but having read the reviews decided against it. I was browsing this thread and it gave me the inspiration to buy one of these -

I absolutely love it! My dad worked abroad when I was young and always used to bring us gifts when he came back home; I remember spending a lot of time marvelling at in class, and spending hours playing with the stopwatch to see if I could get it to stop on .00, as well as using the light under the bed covers.

Certainly cheaper than an Apple Watch and has probably given me more fun.

A pair of these to finish my 70s costume for Goodwood Revivial biggrin

The red ones. They are a limited edition by Marc Jacobs (number 3 of 500) and have a rrp of £650 yikes a fact I did not pick up on until the cashier showed me the original ticket. Good thing I was charged a significantly lower price! biggrin
