US site as I CBA to find the UK ones, but it serves the purpose. I didn't like the look of the one for the S3 and it would have meant not using a case, so I didn't bother.

Back to frivolous purchases and stuff you don't need, I just watched this review of magnetic USB leads and have decided I need some in my life yes.
Good shout, I think I need that in my life too.
I like this. Not sure if I'd be able to have it sticking out if the bottom of my phone all the time though.
My case is fairly thick, so I'm hoping that the magnet sits flush with that.

In a similar vein, we popped in to IKEA the other day and saw their wireless charging jackets that go with their lamps and stuff. I liked the idea, but didn't fancy the extra bulk.

Has anyone plumped for their wireless offering?
"Wireless charging jackets that go with their lamps and stuff" ? confused Come again. confused

Like the look of those - is there a UK supplier for them (i.e. not sent direct from China)?

This month has seen this:

Which is entirely frivolous because I have nowhere to put it, so it'll probably stay in its box alongside Ecto1 and the BTTF DeLorean.

And this:

Which is entirely frivolous as I already have a 18v Ryobi impact wrench. The new one is up to 400nm though, my old one was 250nm or so - that's my justification.

I bought this whilst at a motorcycle show yesterday - only just noticed the spelling mistake on the Rothmans logo across the front so now extremely pissed off.

Now I have got it home I am not sure where or when I will wear it.

I would be happy to move it on if anyone wants it.....

Ah, buyers remorse. I've got a weather station and a Scalextric velodrome in the loft related to a similar feeling. hehe

Ive decided i want an impact wrench, i want a mains powered one though, battery tools always end up with a flat battery in my ownership.

Its just hard to justify right now considering ive mostly got house-DIY on the list for the next few months, so buying a car specific tool is kinda.. frivolous?

I have one of theses: https://www.amazon.co.uk/DeWalt-Lithium-Ion-Brushl...
(available much cheaper if you search)

Makes a reasonable car tool with these: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Faithfull-SBSOCDRIV-Squar...
Not as powerful as a dedicated auto-impact driver but pretty good.
Excellent around the house

Batteries charge quickly and stay charged so you may not need mains

I'm sure that Makita/other makes are just as good

Li-ion batteries might be interesting.. although 170nm doesnt sound like a lot of torque, id want one for stuck suspension bolts and the like, so 300-400 might be in order, which is pretty doable with a corded one.

The last battery powered tool i had was a 12v screwdriver, both batteries (i think NiCd) went dead after a winter of being in a cold shed... banghead After which i bought a corded replacement, which was pretty handy when i built a small woodframe/plasterboard wall, did hundreds of screws in a day.

Are you sure it's a spelling mistake, and not where the left leg of the M goes where the zip is?

950nm? https://www.amazon.co.uk/DeWalt-DCF899HN-XJ-Cordle...

Li-ions dont seem to lose their charge like nicads and charge in about 20 mins (a guess, I've never timed them)

Of course this one isn't much use around the house smile

The one I mention previously is useful on the car. It's quite small and gets into tight spaces, saving spanner work.

Oooh, 950nm, that is NICE. a bit pricey though..

Honestly i dont mind a corded one, but if a li-ion can deliver the same torque at not much price increase it will definitely be on the list!

Ooh... I may have to get one of those in the grounds that my Rolson one (I know, I know) can't undo any wheel nuts without you helping it out by slacking them off first, and has a NiCd battery that weighs a tonne.
