Just bought a set of Toyo Proxes T1R's for my MX5. Probably total overkill but what the hell, I got them at a good price.

My mate has just bought a classic Fordson tractor. He's not a farmer and has no purpose for it, and nor do I, but now I want one too.
You need it so that you can enter ploughing competitions.

Or would needing it for that, make it non frivolous?

The watch of winners. Why stop at one? biggrin

How long before this pic end up on the "These pictures make my teeth itch" thread? biggrin

I have the black one, now i want the metal one but IIRC the bracelet used to catch on the hairs on my arm when i had one as youngster.
Yep, it catches arm hairs all the time.

Off really tempted to get all the colours now and have it as a display.

Possibly with one watch 30seconds out to drive the OCD lot mental. hehe

I bought a set of Goodyears for mine. Then it went to the restorers for sill replacement which ended up being A LOT worse than anticipated so I have no use for them. I put a board on the top and I use it to keep my wallet/keys/random change on when I get home..

Well I fancied a gadgety bluetooth speaker for the garden, bought one of these for a tenner. Ordered Friday afternoon, arrived Saturday morning.

The sound quality is surprisingly good, just plonked it on the wall next to the Weber as I was bbqing, perfect. It feels very solid. Total bargain.

Not sure if buying a second Miele vacuum cleaner (notionally for upstairs use) counts.

Absolutely don't need it.

I've just ordered some sewing scissors in the shape of a heron. I have bought them for my friend who doesn't sew and hates herons.
Why would you do that? It seems pointless to buy a present for someone who you know will not like it. They will instantly discard it, you are out of pocket and they have a present they do not like confused

So instead of thinking what they might like, you found what they dislike and bought that confused

I just don't understand people these days.
No, it's very clear that you don't.

In other news I just bought an 8000 grit whetstone to go with my 400, 1000 and 3000 grit ones. By the time I've used the 3000 grit stone, my knives are already razor sharp but I just know they could be sharper still.

Completely pointless as the edge I'll get with the 8000 grit stone will probably dull far quicker than the one from the 3000.

I rarely cook nowadays, but always wanted decent knives, so when I saw these at the Cheshire Show I had to start a collection.

The latest lego technic set, cost silly money!

Never done one before, so of course I had to have the biggest and most complicated.

Complete with power packs, pneumatics, and differentials apparently!
