Just bought a Real FX Racing starter kit, as they're going cheap at Argos (£34.99 from £99.99). After a bit of digging they are on clearance because they have licensed it out to Hotwheels (fair play to them).
Original PH post about them HERE.
Me too! though I called it an 'Xmas present for the boys'...Original PH post about them HERE.

Echo has a "decent" speaker built in - so you can use it to play music etc
Echo dot has a speaker to use the Alexa thing - but its not really designed for playing music directly so you can bluetooth or line out to an audio device.
Thanks - would use with existing stereo so thats £100 "saved" rather than £50 spent...in my head at least.Echo dot has a speaker to use the Alexa thing - but its not really designed for playing music directly so you can bluetooth or line out to an audio device.
Has anyone got one of these already and any verdicts?

Oh, some Olympic-standard frivolity has occurred this weekend, that's for sure
Following the purchase of my Real FX racing set yesterday, today a friend and I drove halfway across the country to collect his frivolous purchase, thus - a hot exhaust nozzle from a Royal Navy Sea Harrier. Even better, it's been used in service and the inside is still coated in a thick black coating of spent jet fuel exhaust. It smells amazing
Whilst I was perusing the seller's other items, I had to buy myself an RAF Serviceman's cap too:
And then the UPS courier turned up at my house bearing another spectacular diversion of perfectly good money, destined for my man-cave:
Somebody stop me!!!

I'm building a bit of a man cave / workshop with the Harrier exhaust nutcase (who's also a fellow PH'er) and I am on the lookout for some classic Ford loveliness at the moment.
To be honest, although I love the Mk. 1 and Mk. 2 Mexicos and RS's, I'm not really interested in 'anorak-y,' matching numbers original cars. I'm looking at a 'resto-mod' type vehicle, where someone has re-built a good 2-door shell, strengthened and roll-caged, and fitted modern running gear like Cosworth Turbo motor with modern brakes and suspension.
I have found a fair few and I may be viewing one soon. Watch this space

Ooooh I liiiiike yours! Veeery nice! Well jell I got it from this bloke on the bay - he does them to order, he does all kinds of variations on Ford and RS themes. Cost me 150 bucks, but it's a really nice item and well worth the money I think. Looks fab when it's illuminated!
