Just bought a Real FX Racing starter kit, as they're going cheap at Argos (£34.99 from £99.99). After a bit of digging they are on clearance because they have licensed it out to Hotwheels (fair play to them).

Original PH post about them HERE.

Still available, coming next week to a local store.

Not sure where else I would put this but it is ridiculous for the price.

£46 for 5 pieces of crisps.

My first thought on looking at the photo was why are the chips served with a dog turd.

And why did they think that 5 chips was enough, when I'm having a beer only a full size bag of kettle chips will do. My wife always laughs at me the morning after I come home from a night out, because she can guarantee there will be 4 or 5 empty bags of crisps scattered on the lounge floor that I have no recollection of eating. 5 individual crisps just isn't going to cut it.

It's been a while since I've indulged in any Star Wars frivolity, but when a friend was selling his Han in Carbonite cast it just had to be done. We had the frame made up and all 7ft of him is now taking up the conservatory until we can get it into the garage to start spray painting.
Hopefully he'll be at least painted and up on the wall before Christmas, though the plastic side parts and lights might take a bit longer biggrin

Didn't someone on here make one of these into a door from their garage?

Not sure?
I did consider the door option, but it's a cast with links to the original movie prop so is a bit bigger than our doors. Added to that I'm a bit of a purist, and eventually I plan to display our Boba Fett armour on a mannequin next to him.
I do plan to have a little fun with it when it's up though, hang christmas baubles from the fingers etc biggrin

Shouldnt have looked at this thread - two REALFX racing kits ordered. That's one Christmas present sorted (but i will play with it more no doubt lol)

Bought the last two from a seller on amazon marketplace for £43 earlier. Cheaper than buying additional cars, hand controllers and track!

Nice! Very nice indeed!
Useless fact. The side panels are old volvo dashboard surrounds.
I'll post a pic when it's all done. biggrin

Got myself a signed copy of the new Alan Partridge book this evening.

Only I haven't got it yet. I was heading out to dinner with friends this evening when another friend, an equally big AP fan, text asking if I wanted to go to Brighton to meet the man himself and get a book signed. But of course I'm busy so my mate being the good mate that he is, convinces his girlfriend to change her plans and to go with him and stand in line for a couple of hours to get a signed book with my name on.

I may have accidentally dropped £120 on this little bundle in an Amazon Lightning Deal yesterday (now ended. Sorry)

Usual price is £156

I don't really *need* an external flash gun for my Canon 650D, let alone two. Still, never mind eh?

These arrived today, one for myself & one for SWMBO, not so much a "don't need" but a "do want"

Each one is made from shell fuses actually fired in the Somme & comes with an individual certificate commemorating the life of an individual soldier who fell during the Battle of the Somme from the 2nd to the 141st day.

Really quite moving when you open it up & read it.

It's a golf ball finding torch.

I don't need any more golf balls. I have dozens already. Every time I lose a ball, I find a couple more.

But it might make walking the dog a bit more interesting. smile

You just need to add a mannequin wearing a Chewbacca supreme costume

A nice carbon extension boom for my go pro gimbal!

Didn't really need it, just fancied it!

Mmmmm, Carbon!

Oh and a little remote control too, as it's several feet away from me now too.,

How does it find the golf balls better than an ordinary torch?
