I can't play the guitar. Well. I can't play any instruments but I bought this tonight. It's really pretty though!biggrin

Nice, I did the same early last year. Lovely looking sunburst yamaha bass, bought with the intention of learning to play...

That hasn't even remotely happened, but it looks great on the wall!

I've also had a massive hankering for a house big enough, and enough dosh, to mount a 916SPS on the wall...

A friend of mine was offered a 5 year old Ducati that has only delivery miles. The owner doesn't ride, but spent over £20k on the bike as something nice to look at in the hallway of his house.
I need to up my game!laugh

In his defence though, as an ornament, nothing is as nice to sit and look at than a mint Ducati. Except a yamaha electric guitar obviously.(I'm Trying to justify a not inconsiderate amount of cash spunked on it!biggrin )

A man after my own heart!biggrin

I am considering buying another and putting them either side of the fireplace. Who knew playing a guitar was so difficult!laugh

You have to be so careful on Lightning Deals. It's not reduced from £39.99, it's reduced from £9.99

If you look closely at the prices, it says
Price: £39.99
Sale: £9.99
Deal Price: £8.49

"Price" is the RRP, and "Sale" is the price it normally sells for when not in a Lightning Deal.

Does that make it more frivolous? Everyone needs an extra torch but I'll be more careful in future.

No real need for it but no man can resist a gadget especially at this price.
I even used their discount code and got it for less:

I just bought one of these because of this bd thread. I have no use for it, no need for it and I've got no idea what I'm going to use it for.

I don't actually need these, but for the price I paid for them I figured I could easily flip them for a profit with a bit of time invested in listing them properly

Bought one of these - rechargeable via USB. Surprisingly good though the cord is annoyingly short.

I didn't need another vase.

Neat collection you've got there CC; did that hail from an auction or somewhere else? I like old aircraft gauges, not sure why but they often have a pleasing aesthetic about them.

Yes. Local shop was closing down. Probably just as well, I've a few now.

Having built, tried and not got on with my infinity ergodox, I bought this as a stopgap.

Fortunately the backlighting can be turned off.

Nice keyboard apart from that; cherry MX blues, PBT keycaps, etc. Oh, and the case is 5lb of Aluminium...

Are any of them for a SeaKing? I may know a chap.... And I bet you do too wink

They are very cool old gauges and I bet quite a few quid to buy new.

So do my parents, which is why I recognized the style. One thing I've learnt not to ask is how much!

Yes, probably expensive for a vase, but as something you'd keep for ever, less so. It was heavily discounted. Some people use them for investment, apparently.

You can often pick up smaller items at auction quite reasonably if you ever wanted to. Spotting damage repair is an issue though.

Moorcroft is something that is forever being mentioned on Bargain Hunt, and the prices are indeed strong. But unlike some things it doesn't seem to go in and out of fashion - it's always sought after. As such it probably won't lose you any money.

This was £90 yesterday. It's mainly to vacuum the slate around the log burner as i can never be arsed getting the big vacuum out.
