This was £90 yesterday. It's mainly to vacuum the slate around the log burner as i can never be arsed getting the big vacuum out.

I was looking for a cheaper alternative to the Dyson handheld a couple of years ago and there were very few alternatives. From your Amazon link it looks like there are loads now!

I ended up with one of these as I liked that it has a removable battery, which will always have replacements available since it is the same battery used in so many tools. I don't trust rechargeable batteries to last much more than about three years and still hold a decent charge.

I don't actually need these, but for the price I paid for them I figured I could easily flip them for a profit with a bit of time invested in listing them properly

Cool - Please tell me it is not the really cool shop in Lincoln at the bottom of Steep hill closing down?

Nice, I did the same early last year. Lovely looking sunburst yamaha bass, bought with the intention of learning to play...

That hasn't even remotely happened, but it looks great on the wall!

I've also had a massive hankering for a house big enough, and enough dosh, to mount a 916SPS on the wall...
A man after my own heart!biggrin

I am considering buying another and putting them either side of the fireplace. Who knew playing a guitar was so difficult!laugh
rofl

Here's mine, the wall mount is very cool too - has two little 'arms' at the front that rotate through 90 degrees when it takes the weight of the guitar to ensure it can't fall off...

Oh, fk's sake...

It seems the mount is so good, it'll even allow the bass to levitate horizontally!

Neat collection you've got there CC; did that hail from an auction or somewhere else? I like old aircraft gauges, not sure why but they often have a pleasing aesthetic about them.
If I had one of these, I reckon it'd be best mounted on my work desk so that when anyone brought me a stupid/vexing issue, I could look all desperate and panicky and tap the gauge with my finger to see why everything wasn't working properly, like they do in the films.

Fortunately the backlighting can be turned off.

Nice keyboard apart from that; cherry MX blues, PBT keycaps, etc. Oh, and the case is 5lb of Aluminium...
I like that, can you provide a link please?

It came up on ebay whilst I was searching for SeaKing bits, as a job lot for a low price and a large chunk of it going to charity. I can only guess that its from the estate of a deceased collector or similar. There is definitely something about the aesthetics, I bought my current watch because it is styled to look like an aircraft gauge! (AVI-8 Hawker Harrier II, if anyone is interested)

Kaelic said:
Are any of them for a SeaKing? I may know a chap.... And I bet you do too wink

They are very cool old gauges and I bet quite a few quid to buy new.
I think the one in an individual wrapper is either identical, or near as dammit, to the VOR direction-finding gauge in a SeaKing. The rest are a real smorgasbord of cold war era jet bits - the big tailpipe temperature gauge is probably Hawker Hunter, the temperature gauge up and to the left of that looks like its from a VC10 or possibly a V-bomber. The one marked "Gills" is from something with an aircooled radial, so probably American. the rest are pretty generic.

What is the name of the chap you know?

Yes, if I sold all of these on at market value I should at least double my money smile

I hope not! I'm hoping to pay it a visit whilst I'm up in Lincoln for the aircraft cockpit show in June

You'd certainly be more than welcome to buy one from me when I've been able to properly identify and price them all up smile

It's an IKBC MF-87. I got mine through massdrop:

https://www.massdrop.com/buy/32293?mode=guest_open

They also sell through amazon (choice of full size or tenkeyless, black or silver, and keys, obviously):

Mine arrived today, it's ace. Following a quick walk round the house with the lights off it can go into a drawer where the batteries will eventually self discharge....

Mine did as well. Now off to get the other battery that gives a brighter light.

The Le Mans one had me wanting it really bad and I nearly went looking for it online, until I remembered I already have one! biggrin Courtesy of this thread of course. It is still unpacked, waiting to be framed, and a spot on my wall to become available.

You are lucky they are out of stock now.

The frame I got is this. The A2 size which you will need has perspex not glass in it.

What's the quality like? I'm always nervous of buying frames online as you never know what you're getting (although I guess with Amazon you can send it back if no good).
