A few decent drones coming out under £400 now. The xiaomi mi drone is also on my radar.

This lovely thing turned up today from the USA.

Like all things made my OS it's a beautiful piece of engineering.

Oh and a Aquacraft VS1 tunnel hull came with it too! wink

Looks great you don't see many people using glow engines any more.

The mi drone looks a pretty good spec and competitively priced but is difficult to source in the UK. The only one I could find was via Banggood shipped from China?

I'm finding the Yuneec a good starter drone and easy to use. It's also very portable. Took it abroad, traveling only hand luggage, today with no problems. I'm not sure the FPV kit is that good or necessary. I wanted something my teenage kids could use safely and they are loving it.

An iWatch.

I like old Swiss mechanical watches.

I don't even know what it's capable of doing or how it will enrich or make my life easier.

I love the old school of glow engines, but as you say not many people use them any more as it's too hard to find places to use them!

Luckily I have a nice big local lake I can use, so at least we will be able to run it there!

A laser thermometer. No, I don't know why. What I do know, however, is the precise temperature of everything, living or otherwise, in line of sight of my chair...

I had no idea that I needed one of those. But mine should arrive tomorrow!

Now I can monitor the temperature of the brake discs on my S2000, because the calipers have a tendency to seize. yes, that's what I'll use it for. Mostly.

One of my favourite toys I mean tools. Finding cold spots on interior walls, rad temps in each room, seeing if we can hit new records with the log burner, using the laser to tease the rabbits the list goes on .

As we're on a car forum ... very handy for finding which cylinder isn't firing as efficiently as the others. Mind you, on a modern you have so much plastic to get rid of before you can even see the block to aim the gun at ...
