Am I right?
You can. And you are.

Unless you plan on going places that are REALLY cold then I advise you go for something with less insulation! I had a Resolute Parka and it was way too warm, even at -20deg.

But then again, this is the frivolous purchase thread!
Yeah, shut up MagicalTrevor with your sensib;e advice! wink
(I'm going to buy my CG parka in Canada at Christmas, where they're a LOT cheaper.)

hehe

I bought one for me and a mate from America years ago, I sold it on ebay years later for more than I'd paid for the two!

>£800 now!!!

Ordered a Dell XPS 13 laptop last night. Why is this apparently mundane (and actually really mundane) purchase frivolous, I hear you ask?

Well, it could be that in a household of 2, we already have 7 desktops and 5 other laptops...

Looks like a cracker of a phone.
Yup, I'm on it too. Very interesting.
The Oneplus One still looks like a more feature-filled phone with similar performance and memory, and with Gorillaglass too.
liking 'em both - in theory the Oneplus 2 is right up my street... however the whole trying to whip things up into a nerdgasm of Apple proportions is really turning me off at the moment

I'm running the 2nd generation Motorola Moto G Dual SIM. It's a great little phone, although doesn't have support for 4G. The 4G version loses the Dual SIM. frown
Yep the other half has one and I'm pretty impressed with it. Not too bothered about 4G but I just can't get beyond it being a bit of a backwards step in terms of spec. If I hadn't got the Nexus5 already I'd have bought myself one in a heartbeat.

I bought a Huawei honor 6 about 9 months ago and I'm really impressed for the price. High spec, Dual sim, 4G, and tough glass (may or may not be of the gorilla variety) Only disadvantage is it's borderline phablet...
I'll have a proper look at that one. I'd seen it mentioned on a review of dual sim phones. What is it like in terms of additionally installed apps?/ bloat wear. Does it have the propper google play store installed? My mum has a basic spec Huawei android phone but seems to be missing the store and has a very limiting launcher on it.

Exactly - no chance of ever going to the Arctic Circle and bumming polar bears, but nice to know I could stay warm if the mood ever took me! Thought it suitably frivolous for the thread!

I bought mine for the Arctic Circle and I was still sweating my nads off!

Amazon Lightning Deal purchase - £9.19 down from the usual £15-odd.

Hurry if you want one though - it's 23% claimed already and it's only been live for 4 mins. And that's on Amazon Prime Early Access too.

That does look good... presumably totally customisable?

Dual sim is good... could have work phone and personal in one handset.

I imported mine from China before they were released over here so it came without Google installed. It was pretty straight forward installing google play etc, there are a fair few guides online. Included some bloatware but I've just dropped them into a folder and forgotten about them.

Another feature I love is the IR blaster. Can programme most TVs and stereos into it so I no longer have to dig through the sofa to find the remote! Or change the TV channel in the pub whistle

Oooooo! My new T300RS wheel arrived yesterday but I'm still waiting on the T3PA pedals I ordered... despite being MASSIVE overkill for my needs I am now coveting these in an entirely unwholesome way....

From here, with a discount code ZC to get it down to £36.17 or thereabouts.

I'm not expecting a lot, I just fancied a toy.
