I saw a kid on one of those the other day and he seemed comfortable (as in he didn't look like he was going to fall off), but the main thing I noticed was that it was so slow, perhaps a slowish walking speed. I don't know if it was a good one or a cheap one, or if the batteries were running out, but I remember thinking that a basic push bike costs less, doesn't need to be charged and goes a lot quicker, so better as a means of transport, but perhaps not as a toy

I ordered some Anker glass screen protectors for my iPhone 6s and the OH's iPhone 5 from Amazon - the total came to £13 with £3.95 postage. I only needed to spend another £7 to qualify for free postage, so bought one of these for £15....

I've got one of these. Good fun smile

I almost bought this too! But I flicked through it and there was no Porsche 911. A glaring omission for me as a Porsche Fanboy... Might still buy one for my son though.
On the right... second from the bottom...
Must have missed it then! Right, that changes things. Time for my next frivolous purchase (it's for my sons, honest!)

They claim to do up to around 10mph, in reality I've found ours does more of a quick jogging speed, so maybe slightly less than claimed. Great fun as a toy indoors in a big open plan office, not that realistic or practical as a means of transport outdoors.

This just turned up.

Its so small! I didnt think it would be this small, and its stable.
Its my first drone thingy, I did have a go with my fathers camera drone thing but I was rubbish but this is easy.

Took 3 weeks to arrive with standard postage, so I would advise paying for the express delivery.

On its way as of earlier today smile

So this arrived and is awesome, but I soon realised I'd forgotten to order a charger for the battery, so I ordered this, not quite frivolous, but very over the top for my needs smile

An acquaintance of mine once received a big box for Christmas containing 365 pairs of black cotton socks.

He reckoned the pleasure of putting on a new pair of socks every single day for a year was the best present he'd ever had.

The next year he was even more chuffed to find the second wear wasn't a noticeable reduction in satisfaction.

Do you have somewhere nice and safe (fireproof) to store the battery? Old ammunition cases are great for such purposes.

If you don't already have a voltage checker I'd recommend one of those too - for only a few quid they plug straight into the lipo balance lead and read out the voltage of each cell. They're small enough and have a programmable alarm built in if you can find the space to mount them in the chassis too. I know the esc has automatic low-voltage cutoff but it's always good to be well informed...

No, no, no. I've made that mistake - the metal ones wore holes in my collars as they don't flex when your collar moves - I've bought the same plastic ones as above

How do you do 'wheels off' work with a ramp like that? e.g. suspension, brakes

You need to put blocks on the jacking points iirc and lift the middle.
