I liked the Weetabix Dr Who freebies in the 70s. I think it was a diorama on the back of the packet and some press out card figures.

A Skeletor keyring has been used on my bikes since it fell out of a cereal packet 3 decades ago!

Being a kid the 90's I must have been one of the last generations to get these, getting all nostalgic now

I know what mine WON'T say; Poo Wrangler! rofl

It's what I call the missus when she's cleaning out the cat litter trays so thought it would be highly amusing to get a spoon with that engraved on it, but those miserable bds at kelloggs deem the word "poo" to be far too offensive. rolleyes

I loved getting the free gifts from breakfast cereals. It made you get up in the morning if you knew that there was a new box of cereal to open. Who ever was first down got to keep the free gift.

I assume the gifts stopped because of health and safety. Little Jimmy somewhere managed to choke on a gift ruining it for everyone.

Now with the internet its almost as much fun to save the codes and go to the website and get your free gifts that way

I was randomly thinking about this the other day. What was the accepted technique for getting your hands on the bounty? Waiting until it naturally drops into your bowl was always a dangerous game particularly if you had siblings.

Shake the packet until it magically rose to the top? Or roll up your pyjama sleeves and get an arm in the packet until you find the prize woohoo ?

If it wasnt on top when you open the bag you dove in to get the prize so no other sibling could.

Fanks.

What do they do? Clip onto the spokes? Is that it?
If you can't be arsed to read the packet you don't deserve something that spins and tumbles with brilliant colour and sound!

If memory serves me correct, back in the early 80s, on the back of a cereal packet (Weetabix I think) was a scene from the film E.T. that you cut out and kept, then you had to collect stickers of the characters from the film to stick on the cut out. The really cool thing was that they glowed at night. Now back in the 80s, that was fking cool!

Still have one of these after about 30 years - Wasn't in the box, but only took 2 or 3 boxes to get enough tokens
