to both. Had forgotten about those transfers.Wonder where my gollies are?
In the 80's, probably the first half, you could get very small plastic aeroplane kits. Not like the proper Airfix kits. These were just 5 or 6 plastic pieces, all the same colour, that just clicked together.
A bit after that you could get small plastic boats that had a tiny hole in the back. You filled them with baking powder which reacted with water and would propel them along. Only in a sink or bath etc.
Also, similar to the cockerel reflectors, Kellogg's later brought out the Frosties reflectors, shaped like Tony the Tiger.
The memories your mind has stored when you have a delve eh.

kers? Frosties for the 2010s more like.It must of been in the 70s when we got talker tapes or talkie tapes in our packets of Ready Brek.
Strips of red plastic with a serrated side so when you ran your thumbnail along it you would hear a tiny bit of one of Churchill's speeches for example.

It was Robertson's that had the Golliwog promotion. Jam & marmalade etc.You had to cut out the Golliwog picture ( round the dotted line ) from the labels on the jars, being careful with the razor sharp knife it required
, save them up until you had enough to send off for your free enamel badge. There were quite a few to choose from.marky911 said:

Those, I think, are the ones I was referring to in my OP. With Cornflakes? One of them was a Vickers Viscount iirc.marky911 said:

I remember the Kellogg's Corn Flakes "Nautilus" submarine, a plastic, model about 2" long which would submerge and resurface in the bath as long as its' baking soda fuelled nuclear powerplant lasted. The little model aircraft came later on, possibly with Shreddies?
I remember there was a Boeing 707, a Comet 4c and a Bristol Britannia.
I wish I could remember if there were others. They looked good when you painted them with Humbrol enamel model paint.
But my all-time favourite was the 3-D cards that came with Weetabix.
If you sent off for the Weetabix 3-D Viewer, you were transported into an awesome stereoscopic world of amazing depth of field as the two images merged into one. Wow!
They did a few series of different subjects, but my favourites were the exotic cars and the wild birds. I still have a passion for both

Ah yes, must be.
Definitely Kellogg's and almost definitely Corn Flakes. Can't remember the exact model of planes they were but they were based on real life planes.
Life was much better then.

Rumbletums bowls!!! My Mum still has the ones me and my brother got, they must be 30 odd years old by now. 
Remember so many of these!!
Still have two frosties Jeeps - my boys pay with them now.
And my mum still has my 'Ready Eddie' spoon from saving up tockens from Ready Break. Worryingly, the silver plating has all worn off the spoon bit through overuse, still can't have done me MUCH harm...

I have that. I remember it took ages to get it. You had to cut out tokens from the packet or something. I remember the day it arrived in the post.Not sure why I was so excited. Most of my toy cars were the bigger Dinky or Corgi scale.
For some reason it still is one of my treasured possessions.
Why remembers Tudor Crisps butterfly badges? Painted enamel badges of Red Admirals and the like.
