asking £14 on ebay

Also had the Frosties Jeep.

But this was my favorite (okay it wasnt in a cereal box)

Still got mine!

I've still got a 911 SC Targa from a Frosties promotion. Think it was '90s though not 80's. I vaguely remember an SR-71 model kit that came from collecting cereal box coupons. Can't remember which cereal but would have been late '70's at a guess.

Whilst on the subject of old cereals, something has been bugging me for years, there used to be a cereal (I swear it was Kellogs) that I had at my grandmother's as a kid. They were small round discs about 5mm in diameter, kind of like flat, round Rice Krispies.

I thought they were Ricicles but I think they were just frosted Rice Krispies, then I thought it was a previous incarnation of Special K, but they've always been flakes.

Anyone help?
Yes I remember these - I think they were the original Special K?

I thought it was. I looked back at some of the older advert on YouTube and it still looked like flakes, but seeing the pic you posted confirms it.

From cereal in 1996. I found Les Ferdinand and Alan Shearer whilst clearing out a while back.

for pics of the Cornflakes aeroplanes! About half way down the page.

(I think I just overdosed on nostalgia)

At the bottom of that Airfix forum page, a poster recalls the little airliner kits from the mid 60's.
Those are the ones that I remember, definitely Boeing 707, Comet, Britannia and Viscount. The plastic was either grey or dark blue in the ones I assembled and painted.
I'm also pretty sure they came in boxes of Shreddies.

Way before these, in the mid to late 50's, we used to get moulded plastic cowboys and indians figures about 2" tall. Definitely in Kellogg's Cornflakes. They were great for target practice with our catapults or my uncle's air rifle yikes
Strange thing was that some of them were moulded in the "mounted on a horse" posture, but there was never a horse option to sit them astride. confused

I can still remember playing with those in the bath as kid.

Had a yellow one the same as that.

From the quality of those mouldings, I would be more inclined to say 1886. Not being that familiar with football faces, can you enlighten me as to who they are supposed to be. Cheers.

Rice Krispies pull-back cars from late 80s sometime?

Mazda RX-7; Lancia Stratos; Zakspeed Capri.

(Apologies for wrong order; RX-7 should clearly be on the right...)

You don't seem to get free anything these days.

What happened to collecting points at petrol stations to exchange for items such as model cars? Who didn't want to buy £30,000 worth of petrol to get that 1:12 scale model of an XJ220 from Shell?
Still got mine!

I had one of these:

I regret breaking it (can't remember how/why) because years later my Dad started collecting radios and would have loved one of these.
