My house was built 5 years after these were taken. Makes me wonder what the street was like back then.

Some other good stuff on that site. San Francisco after the great quake (colour photographs too!) and the Detroit riots in 67. Very interesting photographs.

Great shots. Without pulling the thread into the gutter I'm always surprised how I never see any attractive women in these old photos. Good looking women must have been very camera shy back then!

I'm guessing things like milk and bread were higher up people's shopping lists than clothes or makeup!

You could say the same for the men. Different times, different looks. If you had been around then you would have found them attractive, guaranteed.

Some great shots - assuming the colouring is "best guess" and primary colours were easiest to produce; a lot of orange wink
