he got pissed and then cuddled up with big Barry the slightly camp head barman. I'd imagine it's not the first time.
EFA.
It's amazing how the hangover differs on the missed ferry nights...
Normally it's just your head that hurts.

Small rowing boats and tenders are often found on the other side of the river on Sunday mornings where I live, having been 'borrowed' the night before.

Company conference at Sandbanks. I got up early and caught the chain ferry to Studland to go God a walk. Whilst I was on the other side a car ferry cut the chains for the chain ferry. This left me 100m from the conference venue but with s 2 hour bus ride to get there. Guess who was giving the first presentation?
How on earth did they manage to do that? rofl

Were there no JetSkis around to give you a lift back over?

Same time by boat or car to the pub for me. My neighbour is sorting the dilemma by buying an amphibious car. smile

Can you be arrested for drink driving an amphi/car in a loch?

I stayed over, enjoyed a number of pints and got home first thing this morning. Nothing more exciting than that!

There used to be a pub at each side years ago (Corran Inn on my side but demolished years ago).

So you live 2 mins walk from the ferry, and never considered the fact that they stop for the night?

Apparently the Brittany Ferries boat does it now and then by passing too close to the chain ferry. It was about 7.00 am so virtually no one around. It was so tempting to swim it, but I know how strong the currents are there.

And that is the sort of 'can do' bravado that ends up with being plucked out of the sea by a helicopter 2 miles off the Isle of Wight
