Some really impressively loud thunder here in south derbyshire, along with constant fork lightning. Poor cat jumped out of his skin at the first really loud clap!

Same here in Tynemouth. Family in SE Northumberland got quite a show. I feel a bit cheated.

Impressive light show here in Aylesbury, can't remember the last time I saw so much lightning.

Decided against sitting in the downpour, thankfully that only lasted 2 minutes.

The OH thinks I'm odd for enjoying this.
I'd just got to sleep when the storm started, so woke me up. Annoyingly I then didnt get back to sleep for hours, for a 6am start at work this morning!

The thunder doesnt sit well with my current hearing condition either. Glad it didnt last long (And I am a massive fan of storms generally).

Only the second storm I've experience since I moved to Aylesbury!

Plenty of thunder through the night in Glasgow, not sure if there was any lightening though.

Heavy rain, thunder and lightening here in Suffolk. Two lots as well, just as we thought it was all done and dusted, around 3.30am another lot turned up!

My partner's dog is crying every time the lightning flashes, poor thing.
Partner indeed, I do not know in this enlightened age why a chap cannot just say he is seeing another chap instead of the cloaking and dagger partner nonsense.
And I thought you Germans didn't have a sense of humour wink

Had a massive thunder and lightning show over Romford, Essex for about an hour. My area close to the town centre lost ALL power for about 20 minutes (including street lights etc). Had a friend call me saying that he was in a club in chaos with the lights out biggrin

Cat got caught out in it and was not happy biggrin

Thunderstorm hit Stirlingshire about 6am this morning. Didn't bother getting up to watch it. Accompanied by torrential rain.

Heavy downpour in the early hours, a misty morning. Now it has brightened up - the sunshine arrived.
