If one has a robust disagreement with another member on eg. a thread in NP&E, what is the correct behaviour whan meeting them on another thread?
Ignore them?
Leave the thread un disgust?
Continue the argument, to the amusement / bemusement of the others on the thread?
Realise that although they are criminally deluded re the first argument, on this subject they are right ?

Yes, this.
the problem with people that think they can debate and 'parry' with an opponent, that they become so entrenched in their original views, to the rest on the observers if looked like 2 rabid dogs fighting over a moldy chicken carcass, pointless and basically moronic. They both think they win as they haven't changed their argument.

Just learn to walk away. When I was younger I would have spent a lot of time arguing the toss, but now I can't be arsed - that the beauty of the internet; you can make your point and just walk away, you don't need to go back and reinforce it, it won't follow you yapping in your ear or punch you.
Heck, if you want you can lay a huge steaming turd of a comment and just walk away if you want to, who gives a toss, you're just a another name on the 'net. Today's news, tomorrows fish n chip wrappers.

Is it just me that doesn't pay attention to people's usernames et al? For all I know every post could be by a different person. There's far too many people on here to bother trying to keep track.
same here. It's different on forums where you can have an avatar, although I walways make my mind up about people based on their picture. if I don't like it, I don't like them!Gassing Station | The Lounge | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
