They sell pink bike cleaner, 'dirty bike' which does exactly the same job as Muck Off, I use it for cleaning everything outside and have a stash of 10 bottles in the shed because they only sell it during the summer.

Another good one is a 12 pack of those polystyrene glider planes, my little lad loves them but clumsy little hands break them pretty quickly, a packet of them can keep him (and me) going all day!!

Imperial Leather roll on deodorant 3 for £1. I've got smelly teenage boys and it's the only thing that works. Plus at that price they can have one in every school bag, locker, bedroom & bathroom.

Normally the best place for me to find 35mm film is Poundland!

I think that's a brilliant idea. I might suggest that for ours this year, as it seems to have crept up to a tenner. And I got 1 of those desktop pool table "executive toys" for the second year running. Not amused...

That was the exact reason we did it, everyone was spending a tenner on 'amusing' things like that. This required a bit more thought, was more accessible for everyone and caused much much more laughter and fun than any of the previous efforts.

I know someone who works at a large supplier TO the pound shop industry. They sell hundreds of products.

Some are great - same formula / factory as the proper brand, but a pound. Others are more hit and miss. I'm aware of dodgy batches of dog treats that kill dogs, car air fresheners that melt dashboards, "glade plugins" that drip and kill paint / wood / carpet, that sort of thing. The trick is sussing out which bits are good and which are dodgy - I recon that is why pound shop type punters seem to fanny on in every isle for ages, before leaving with a couple of normal bits..

Poundland do an oven cleaner, identical to Oven Pride but a quarter of the price. Works just as well too.

Well done for propping up the Chinese economy though with your purchasing of fake and seconds/crap quality products. Just be careful with the electrical stuff though yeah? You know that CE sign isn't what you might think it is?

I'd rather buy something once and it last more than a week or buy the real item than have to resort to a 'market' type item from a pound store.
Lol , where do you think apple products are made ?

Only come unstuck once, pun intended. A quid for 50 envelopes was a quid wasted...the envelopes were so thin and weedy they'd rip when a letter was inserted. Caveat empty.

I live in a West Yorkshire town where there are 3 pound shops with 50 yards of each other, they are always busy.
Do you live in Dewsbury?

That sounds like the precinct leading towards the bus station
