therein lies the rub - OP's jewelry was inherited and so one would imagine older than 3 years. Friend of mine has this issue inherited an item worth in excess of £10k - his current insurers declined to quote... too high value. Banks don't 'do' safety deposit boxes anymoreirocfan said:
