A bit subjective I guess but I regularly listen to audio books when doing long drives.

I have always enjoyed listening to the Journey Into Space series. A bit old now (made in the 50s) but still a great listen.
It also has the notable achievement of being the last time that a radio show achieved a higher rating than its TV opponent.

Staying with a similar theme Earthsearch is a good series.

If you like some comedy then Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy is pretty good too.

Never missed an episode of "Journey Into Space" back in the days.

Just Forget about doing anything else than sleeping. The pain will be excruciating and you won't bear light or any other disturbances.
