I’m tying the knot in October and getting all my mates together for a stag weekend away is impossible so I’ve decided to go with the traditional stag night.
Location: London or Bistol.
However, I don’t want the tocken outfit of Borat mankinni but what I decent night with close mates. I’d like to replicate the time of stag night James Bond would have, dressed to thrill and the best of the best.
I night to remember.
I’m looking for ideas, maybe a daytime activity and then a list of establishments around 8 of us can let ourselves go in till the next morning.

Pre drinks at a real gents/ members club (not strip) would be ideal

I expect James Bond would start off with go karting, then Whetherspoons for lunch followed an afternoon of crazy golf. thumbup

James Bond would never get married smile

I'd suggest airsoft in the zombie shopping mall in (I think) Reading during the day, then train into London, suited and booted for a night in some nice bars.

Either way, you are going to end up naked in public with some kind of semi-permanent mutilation and probably a police caution. Don't try to avoid it, it'll only make them try harder.

He did. He married Contessa Teresa di Vicenzo.

Yes, and look how THAT turned out. His bride shot in the head by an evil genius. I hate it when that happens.

Indeed. Think it was Irma Bunt that did the shooting though if I recall correctly.

I don't recall a scene with Bond on his stag do in Spearmint Rhino in Bristol though... smile

Bond would have a round of golf in the morning, Turkish Massage in the afternoon, bit of a snooze then hit the Casino until it was light again.

Actually, that wouldn't be his Stag Do, that would be a normal Saturday.

Judging by the spelling, maybe you should aim for the kind of stag-do Nick-Nack might have? Try Bond Villains instead. Would be more interesting; and your mates could dress you up as Rosa Klebb for extra giggles.

Surely he would start the do at around tennish with a Vodka Martini, shaken, not stirred. Then he would meet a lady at the bar and comment, 'You’re a women of many parts, Pussy.' After shagging her, she'd explode.

This is it exactly. James Bond has no friends (nor relatives), apart from the bottle.

I though Felix Leiter was his friend, although look how THAT turned out (for Felix). His wife murdered and him chomped on by a shark. I hate it when that happens. No wonder he's got no friends.

Not true. Apart from Felix Leiter as mentioned, Bill Tanner is often referred to as a friend of Bonds. Rene Mathis was a friend of Bond (ok, killed off in QoS, but he appeared in the books a lot). Marc-Ange Draco (father in law) was a friend, and Major Boothroyd (Q) would have been up for a stag night I'm sure.

Definitely enough there for a table for six at the Harvester in Bristol. beer

That's very true! biggrin

I was just refuting the idea that Bond was a friendless loner. Loner, yes - friendless, no.

That would be quite a coup for SMERSH operative to target too. Sounds dangerous, OP.

SMERSH have a cell in that area too - Fishponds, if I'm not mistaken.

Just knock on the door of Boodles or Whites in St James and explain you are having a James Bond theme stag so need access to the bar.

Am sure they'll be fine with it.
