My wife has many talents. In no particular order:
  • She is a very senior doctor running her department across the county as medical director - and is adored by her patients.
  • She is a fantastic mother.
  • She has achieved more in my chosen sport than I ever have (won a gold and silver medal at the UK championships).
  • She is hyper organised and runs my family's life with amazing precision
  • She is an excellent driver and is a great map reader
  • She is amazing cook and wonderful host

Having read all those testimonies, I would say my wie is better than me at remembering birthdays.

I however have to remember when the MOT, insurance, road tax & services are due on our cars, which is arguably just as tricky.

(though I have a chalk board in the garage with the dates written on to help me!)

My missus was the glue that held us & our 3 boys together when I was quite ill for a few years, all the while building her businesses to a point that in our mid 40s neither of us have to go to work anymore & we now enjoy a pretty wonderful life together.

Quite simply, she's irreplaceable in my life.

Is much more academically gifted than me. Finished her degree last year, has become fluent in British Sign Language, recent promotion at work after only 12 months. Knits anything and everything, bakes anything and everything. Sings well.

Still, can't turn fking lights off though.

She can build walls, mix slop, plaster to a reasonable standard (far, far better than me)
I bet she's good at fixing the skirting board on too wink
hehe she cops some flack for her lack of height, everytime the skirting board needs painting I offer to get her the ladder, or more recently I dont ask but just put the ladder in the room, apparently, this isnt funny! hehe

Oddly enough I've just messaged her to say i've found a new mattress, but as it's much thicker than the old one i'll have to fit a ladder to the bed for her. wink

My wife organised a surprise 60th birthday party for me last weekend. Over 100 people there. Fantastic.

Also, my wife is the family banker. If the finances were my responsibility we would have an amazing fleet of cars that we lived in.

She always reverses into parking spaces.

When the old Astra she's currently using decided it didn't always want to switch it's wipers off she attached a piece of string to their fuse as a temporary fix! I thought this was awesome!

Fixes broken people (she's a hospital consultant)
Somehow finds time to be a great mum
Beats up the builders / workmen who're renovating our house when something is less than perfect
Cooks brilliantly - but has to fight with me for control of the kitchen smile
Doesn't drive too badly, although has zero mechanical sympathy - but she's safe enough

Doesn't get enough sleep due to young baby, but somehow manages to keep calm through just about anything, whilst I'm tearing out the hair I haven't got and suffering from sleep deprivation.
