Looking after me and our three (grown up) lads for the best part of 35 years, that's enough for me.

How often do you paint the skirting board for this to be a running joke? yikes
Three moves in 2 years, plus she is an obsessive decorator, things get refreshed or changed yearly almost, you can see why she has tired of it smile

Good lady wife will drive anything from 1930s saloons and sports through to oversized 1960s Jags to tuned TVRs etc without batting an eyelid.

Martial arts trained and the blessed with the most amount of common sense in any person I have ever met.

Exceptionally kind and thoughtful and looks great in a dress.

Eye sight poor mind ... married to me

Pleased to read so much positive input on this amusing thread.

Me? ...Some said it wouldn't last back in the 1960s whilst at the same time my wiley old Dad told me you've got a good 'n there son.

Close on fifty years later she's still my best friend. ........

We've a lot in common. Being both from an impoverished ( ie. permanently skint ) East End working class broken home backgrounds which of necessity made us both self sufficient from a young age. That has stood us in good stead and although close, we are still independent. Both would survive quite well without the other should that ever arise.
You've got a good 'un there son. biggrin
