Selfridges have had their Christmas grotto open on the fourth floor since Monday 3rd. 'Tis the season.

The girls in my local have been wearing "Ask me about Christmas bookings" badges since the middle of July. Considering it's a small chain pub in the middle of a sleepy village, when there are bigger pubs and better restaurants very close by - and the city centre is 30 minutes away by car - it seems a bit optimistic.
