I'm told by those that know about such things that this would fall into such a category. It's the world's roundest object. If it were scaled up to the size of the sun, the distance between the highest and lowest peak would be 14mm!!!

It is apparently being used to define weights to unprecedented levels that will have hugely significant use in future space travel and other more early benefits.
I'd love to hold that. Not sure what it is about it but it's massively desirable to me!

Lump of pure silicon, they are counting the atoms in it to define the kilo, as the master kilo is losing mass. Hand finished by some Australian bloke as he can feel the differences in the surface at the molecular level. Theres a programme on iplayer about it.

That's fantastic.

I'd like to think a Euromillions win would buy that but I think I'd still be a fair few mil short!
You might have enough to buy a door handle and a set of curtains for one with a euro million win lol. Average fuel cost for the year is £400,000 lol docking fees I'd hate to think.
Looks like Nirvana. Been for sale for a year or so and had a nice price drop of €30m.
A bargain now at €199m
You'd need 3 or 4 euro wins to get into that life.

Give me the Maltese Falcon all day long:

Well you know I didn't want to be labeled a snob by going for number 1 in length lol

Gets my vote too

£1.2M – £2.5M TO BUY
Yes, compared to the current cost of a number of classic sports and racing cars, acquiring a Spit can be done on a relatively modest budget. Around £1.2 million gets you a ‘bitsa’ (for want of a more elegant description) and you can pay more than double that for an original aircraft with battle history and which may have been flown by a celebrated war-time pilot.

Actually, if it were the size of the Earth, the highest mountain and the lowest valley would be 14m apart.

No, it's still exactly 1kg - by definition. That's the problem.

This is a great thread.

This is a great answer:

But I'm struggling.

There are cars: Dodge Charger 440RT, Mercedes 300SL or Lamborghini Murcielago SV

Watches, boats, planes, guns etc. I could name several of each, but I suspect my final answer would be a property somewhere on the West Coast of the USA with a stunning garage, heliport, epic views, moorings for the boat and a spectacular infinity pool....

I'm not slating Hondas; they're great bikes but NONE of them look ANYTHING like a 916.
