I'm sure the many millionaires and CEOs that visit this forum have not heard of CEX....

However if you have, and you had 90quid to spend, what would you waste it on?

old question - is a PS3 better than an Xbox 360? I have one of them... kind of dont play it.
Sadly I dont have a PS4, so I could buy a game or two but i'd be stuck looking at the pretty booklet and the shiny disk.

I've got £100 credit to spend in there too. They do have a website so you can search their stock for ideas. Reckon mine will effectively mean I gave away my old iphone for free!

I know ebays is a faf and full of dimwits but I never understand why people sell via cex as you are effectively giving the things away unless you want to buy some other second hand tat ?

I've offloaded loads of DVD's to them in the past, yeah I don't get much for them but ditching them there and they're all gone in one go instead of faffing about online or at car boot sales. If I had a £90 voucher I'd probably use it to buy some retro consoles, my local one has a PS1 and a MegaDrive in a cabinet, if I didn't have them already I'd be tempted to buy them.

I bought a phone from them in the past, and have sold a phone there, no dramas. Its quick and easy and I suppose that's the attraction for some (certainly me).

Some items such as console games just aren't worth the hassle on eBay once you take into account the auction fees, PayPal fees, killer postage costs and the fact that there are professional sellers out there undercutting you. For other things such as mobile phones, you can get a better price over mazuma and you avoid having the eBay scammers raising a dispute. Better to rock up to a cex with a heavy bag of items and cash in the lot with minimal hassle.

Youngest sold a load of Skylander things, got £50 voucher, Game offered a few quid for them! Worked for him. (And us - Less tat about the place)

I would imagine that ebay, would be another world of pain.

unbelievably it was the best price I could get for a phone - more than the usual phone sites and like you say eBay is just likely to be case of me losing out, with a time waster or scam artist. Perhaps retro console is the way to go.

I'd spend it on a retro console and relive the glory gaming days of my youth, tbh.

Sell it on eBay and buy the item you want for less!

CeX prices are a little on the high side.

Gamecube is the oldest retro console they sell/sold iirc. Unless each store is different?
