What is the worst thing man has ever made?
Discussion
I've no issue with religion, if not for religion the people who commit atrocities in it's name, would just find another justification for them, you could just as well claim National Borders are the worst thing ever - someone, a long time ago decided that this place belonged to this country and this place belonged to another - then someone else comes along and convinces the young men on one side of an intangible line kill the young men on the other because, well, whatever reason they can think of.
Money isn't bad per-se, money is just a mechanism for exchanging effort/skill/time, the badness of it comes when we (the human race) decided it was a good idea to use alchemy/magic to make £2 from £1 without adding effort/skill/time by manipulating markets and such. I think the way we manipulate the cost of housing (bought and rented) is particularly bad, we've taken a fundamental human need, possibly the most basic need of all, and twisted it to make those who have, more money without effort at the expense of those who haven't.
So my votes would be financial mechanisms which don't create real wealth, they just unfairly suck it from some and give to others, and National Borders, I think it's perverse to say they person a can do X and person b can't because they thought utter fluke were born in a different location.
