Right, time of the year to kick this off again. It may be a bit early, but I've noticed a distinct change in the weather over the last few days. Autumn seems to be approaching.

What are the forecasts for this year? Are we looking at a bad winter, or just another annoying warm(ish), windy and sloppy affair? Or am I jumping the gun and we won't know for a while yet?

Snow on the way? smile

Me too. smile

However, the last few days have been rubbish. This morning was like an October morning too. 9 degrees.

There will be complaints if it doesn't snow, this thread is too early!!! banghead

That said, I have a sneaky unscientific feeling we could be in for a good one...

Weather rabbit has indicated the change of season. They aren't sitting by the door with the breeze on their fur, or outside until past subset. They are now huddled on their rug and sleeping more. The winter is coming.

Well yes, but every year we get new members of the audience of this thread, and they don't, so I'm just trying to set the scene biggrin

What's with the "official" bit - nonsense banghead

Anyway, forecast is for a toast warm Sep and Oct. If last year is anything to go by, snow tyres will be a waste of money! (For anyone south of Manchester)

Way too early, last year the first snow at my house was in 20 days time equivalent! Not even any snow on higher ground yet here. But have to agree with the OP, last 2 days have the feel of autumn/ winter coming soon.

Indeed. There has been a change to the weather in the mornings. I'm also noticing a bit more of a chill in the air on my bicycle.
