Pretty nasty right now, the roads haven't been plowed and there's about 5" so far.
I had to go to the post office and was sliding around all over the place. fortunately I picked a time when the roads were fairly clear so apart from the fact that half the time I had no real idea where the kerbs were, it was quite fun.

Lots of blowing snow.

Judging from friends in Colorado we'll probably lost jimmyjimjim in a huge pile of snow now!

bounce Snow forecast for the Scottish mountains bounce

Which might be good timing as I'm parked up 50m from the lift at Glencoe in the snug & warm camper ready for the morning pow assuming it wont be blowing a gale in the morning like it is now. Spring snow skiing today & not bad weather, turned wet as we came off the mountain which was snow higher up. Might, just might be a good dump of pow for the morning....

Well, I've more than 3 foot of drifting snow in my back garden and it's still coming, so not far off it. Bloody glad I went out in the morning, doubt I'd have made it now.

It's still coming down!

Well that's the most wet snow I've ever shovelled. I've done a similar amount of powder, but that's nothing in weight terms. 3' deep in places and I was completely shattered when done.

I give up, buying a snow blower now.

It turns out to have been a record; most snow ever on March 23rd in Denver - 12.1".

Closer to 18" where we are.

We had some nice snow yesterday, and then it got a bit better weather today again, so walked up another mountain.

And it's due to lay down another 8" tonight into tomorrow morning.

Oh and there's another storm system due to hit next week.

I was beginning to wonder what had happened to the snowiest month...

Warmed up loads here to around a toasty 5C, with lots of wind and rain. Really destroying all the nice snow we had. Also the conditions have resulted in some big avalanches in some parts too. Certainly a day for relaxing at home!
