Rained, sleeted, then briefly snowed in my corner of Herts, before it went back to raining again. Car dashboard reckoned it was 3 degrees outside!

Just shoveled 5" off the drive. It's meant to continue for another full day, with the heaviest due in about 12 hours; we've had about 6 hours so far.

I think I'll be going out every 4 hours or so. Joy.

Warm spell during the week, and then Met Office are warning of a significantly cool period starting on Sunday. If it was winter, we'd be getting excited...

Snow could still be falling in May! (usual northern/high areas likely to benefit)

It dropped about 18" in the end. Melting quickly now. I <think> we're done for the year, but wouldn't rule out one more light snowfall before the end of the month.

The BBC weather man had his 1980s April whiteout picture up last night, then said it won't be like that - bah!

-3C night before, -4C here last night believe it or not!

Well, I was right on there being another snowfall; dropped another inch last night, but it melted almost immediately.

Due to be 27c at the weekend.

Sleet/hail/rain mix on my way home from work tonight (Leeds)

I thought about taking my winter tyres off a week ago and it hailed a few days later so I changed my mind smile

Seems bizarre waking up to a white backdrop this morning amid the countryside in Spring. This must the be latest snowfall in Central England I can recall for a little while.

This is looking over to Brown Clee (1770ft) about 8 miles to the South
