Safe to say it's arrived for us in Northern Scotland.

Currently snowing in Glasgow city centre, decent sized flakes not heavy enough to lie yet. Feels like the earliest in the winter its snowed in years.

Looks like good potential for a colder than normal polar maritime blast next weekend. PM weather comes from the NW, and was a common feature last winter. That means elevated west coast areas could see heavy snowfall next weekend, particularly the Scottish hills.
