Two ways for the snow lovers to look at this:
1. The next couple of years are going to be the warmest on record *sigh*
2. The Met Office are predicting heat. Time to dust off the sledge.

The obligatory global wombling reference. The leaves haven't even turned yet. Puggit said:
Keeping an eye on a storm system around the Channel Islands/Cherbourg peninsular that's heading North. Looks like it's slowly breaking up, but could turn nasty again.
I've ditched the summer thread - none of that happening again this year!
What is going on with that? Met Office are saying it's going to hit East Anglia a bit, but Net Weather haven't even acknowledged it. I've ditched the summer thread - none of that happening again this year!

If you look at the rain radar you can clearly see the 'eye' of the system passing NNE over Normandy. Definitely looks like that will travel towards EA. But the messy bit is on the NW flank, so likely to effect Hants/Sussex first. http://www.express.co.uk/news/nature/604619/Long-r...
Time to put on the winters? or is it just the express ripping off the annual torygraph winter armageddon story?
I did notice that they quoted exacta weather which isnt a good sign for it being true.

This story runs multiple times every winter - ignore. Time to put on the winters? or is it just the express ripping off the annual torygraph winter armageddon story?

It continues to be very mild in Yorkshire, heating hasn't been on yet and I'm the first to reach for the thermostat.
After last years dreary show, I hope we get some crisp weather and a bit of the white stuff.
A bit?! A bit!!!!????After last years dreary show, I hope we get some crisp weather and a bit of the white stuff.
