I'm 33 and have plenty of grey hair, I don't mind it - and more importantly, the ladies love it! hehe

used to dye mine when i was a student. Not sure Pillarbox Red or Ultraviolet would suit me now.

Would be a talking point at work I suppose

My nine year old son spotted a few apearing over the last month or so.

Last night when he was going to bed after giving me a hug he stared at them again, with a look of concern, and said.

"I'm just worried now I've got an old Dad"

"Why?"

"In case you don't make my wedding"

eek

laugh

I'm 38 FFS.

I have a few at the sides, and a few creeping in elsewhere.

Used to work with a guy who claimed his jet black hair was natural but I have never know natural hair stain collars when it rains biggrin

Started going grey while still at school but not as bad as friend in the same year who was going seriously bald! No, before some smart arse says, we were not held back for that long!

By the time I was thirty I was really grey with broad streaks of pure grey and hated it so started bleaching it! I'd rather be white than grey and I still am though the need to bleach is now very rare smile

I did dye my hair at Christmas... purple. A girl said I wouldn't dare so I proved her wrong. It didn't look terribly natural to be honest smile

I've never understood why 99.99% of blokes who dye their hair do so.

On the other hand, there's a perfect example of the other .01% at work, and I really don't understand why he doesn't dye! He has the whitest hair on the face of the planet, coupled with the darkest black eyebrows imaginable. He makes Alastair Darling look like his are only a couple of shades of grey apart in comparison!

It's funny to watch new people meet him, sometimes, as their attention gets captivated by the eyebrows, and they can't look anywhere else! hehe

I had a guy come for an interview once, lovely chap but I think he was aiming to not be ruled out based on age, had his hair dyed and had obviously had some fantastic dental work done, his teeth were like someone off a toothpaste advert, unfortunately it was all given away by the fact he smoked very heavily and it had taken his toll on his skin, so young teeth and hair, with an old and prematurely, additional toll through smoking, it was a strange combination.

Our kids had a tutor for a while who was about 75 to 80 and she insisted on jet black dyed hair, an even bigger disparity between age and hair colour, she is still about and still dyes it.

I think you can, with certain subtle measures take a couple of years off or at least look the best you can for your age, but its only a bit.

Most of it is genetics and lifestyle, hair dye, surgery, potions etc generally end up just make you looking weird.

I experimented with dying my hair in my mid-twenties and it just looked ridiculous. First I went blonde and it came out almost yellow, so I looked like I had some stupid Eminem style hair, then another time I went jet black thinking it would be cool. No, I just looked like I had one of those Lego man clip-on hair styles. I'll just stick with my mousy-brown stuff and keep it short.

I'm 40 and have found the odd grey hair at the sides, my beard has the odd grey/white hair too, any I find I just pull out but we are only talking the odd one or two here and there.

We have a guy at work who dyes his hair; he look ridiculous, it's like people who try and cover up a bald patch; they look ridiculous and just draw more attention to the problem that they are trying to hide.

Being the oldest in my team (at 49), I worry that my lustrous black, naturally curly hair might put my colleagues in the shade and make them feel resentful.

This is why I painstakingly put in silver highlights, adding a few more each week. whistle

Been doing this for years now. One day I'll shock them all by stopping...!
