Do you dye your hair?

No...been grey as a badger for decades and never resorted to artificial colourings. Besides, it raises the vexed question of what to do south of the meridian.
My hair went white (rather than grey) when I was about 35. Around the time I met my wife as it happens. I've never dyed it...South of the equator is still clinging on (100%) to it's original colour. Which is of zero benefit.
O
If so, modern men really are turning into a bunch of softies.
At 38, I have fairly grey stubble (the ginger bits went white) and a bald, shaved head. It doesn't bother me in the slightest.
Unlike most of my age group, I am lean and fit, not fat and unfit.
I reckon I probably look better than I did 10 years ago.

Do dyes stay on a long time or do they eventually wash off?

Coloured my hair since I was 16, not 48 and not about to stop.
However, hairdressers says due to my base white colour now, she will only have to colour it 2-3 times a year.
And she takes longer cutting my eyebrows, neck and ears than she does my hair.
Getting older you've got to love it.

I'm 34 and I'm going grey slightly at the sides now, and I have slightly receding hair!
I couldn't give a flying fk if I'm honest. People who worry about things like going grey or going bald need to stop being such utter pansies.
I do business with a really nice bloke who is 54 and recovering from the most aggressive cancer removal operation known to man where they break open all your ribs to get inside you, and theres only a 25% chance of surviving the operation or the following year, and he is at work everyday and full of beans.
There's people like that and then there's people who dye their grey hair.

Just to bump this - I previously said I'd rather be bald than grey - and indeed I recently shaved all my hair off.
I probably have very few grey hairs compared to some but it is very noticeable on me as I have black hair.
I've since changed my mind slightly on dyeing - primarily because it appears you can get temporary ones that last about 28 washes - so you woudn't have to do it too often (about 1 month +)
So I might have a go and see what happens - I suspect if I keep my hair down to say grade 2 or 3 length it won't be as noticeable.
I can see why dye might be noticeable if you change the entire colour but if you just try and match and existing colour hopefully it doesn't stand out as much?
The trendy thing thesedays seems to be intetionally dyeing your hair grey (for young people) - but obviously it is obvious its been done for fashion reasons.
